end of april due dates updated with list

I'm due on April 25th! :happydance:

Time has been flying by so far. I've been lucky to avoid any complications so far, so I'm hoping the rest of it will go by pretty smoothly too!! I get SPD off and on, but thankfully it hasn't been too bad the last few months. Only if I really over do it on the walking, then I pay for it later!

I'm a full time graduate student, so I'm busy working away on school stuff while also working part-time. I have some exam deadlines at the start of April that I'm working away preparing for, but I'm starting to get to the phase where my energy increase is waning away again, and I find myself wishing I could take naps in the afternoon rather than having to work on papers or read another book.

I haven't started 'nesting' yet, but I'm not sure I really will. I am a bit antsy to get things organized and ready though! The nursery is mostly put together, but we have our baby shower on Feb 9th, and until then, we can't really buy anything else. I can't wait for it to be over so I can sort out what we need to get still and go out to get it!

Quick question, I am struggling at work with back and bump pain. I'm a nurse on a very busy surgical ward. I do 13 hour days. I think I might get signed off soon as I'm just not able for them! Haven't even had time to think about nesting! :( anyway I was wondering am I a failure to quit work at 29 weeks? Maybe 30 at a push? Are you girls still working? I'd you are when are you planning on finishing? So many girls in my hospital work to 38 weeks! I just don't know how! Xx

If you are a failure I hate to think what I am... I stopped my cushy 7 hr a day desk job at 27 weeks.

You aren't any good to your baby if you over do it and end up injuring yourself, or going into early labour. Your body is telling you what is right for you. Some ladies can work up to their due dates without issue. Some can't. It isn't a contest.

Hi! :hi:

I'm due on the 22nd :happydance: Feeling nervous! Definitely getting that nesting feeling - I really feel like I'm running out of time, but I'm not quite doing what I need to just yet! :dohh:

Getting what I now think is SPD, although I only get it when I'm sat down for too long! (A lot of you seem to get it stood up too long?) Think I'd better start sleeping with a pillow in between my legs.

Hormones have definitely ramped up! Feeling more upset lately and I've been getting a little paranoid recently? Anyone else or is that just me?

Can I just say I love this thread, it's felt a little bit awkward fitting into this trimester board and this definitely makes me feel more at home!!

Sitting makes it worse for me, that's why I had to stop working.
I'm spending most of my time horizontal. Sitting, standing, walking... all of it puts pressure on your pelvis :(

Wow, nesting?! Certainly no nesting here. Quite the opposite! I come home from work and whale-around on the couch until it's time for bed. Definitely don't have the energy to clean. My first scan said my due date is April 14 but every scan and measurement since then has put bubs a week ahead.

hello! i'm due april 23rd! i can't wait to finish work and sort the house out and make lots of frozen meals! is your bub engaged yet? mine always has his feet down low!

ps why is my ticker always an aubergine?? i've been an aubergine for 3 weeks now!?

Hi ladies....

Firstly i just wanna say all pregnancies are different never think ursrlf a failure for not ferling u can work till u drop.... Im a stay at home mum and i tell u im struggling with that most days esp when dd gets into her lil moods...
We all are doing the same thing we are growing a human inside of us some with more difficulties then others but we still doing the same...
My lil baby kept me up most of the nite laying on my bladder 10 times i needed the loo and i dreamt my waters had broke woke up in a panic feeling around the bed like a lunitic woke oh up lol....
I dont know if baby is engaged i am getting more pressure down there but guess ill find out next mon on the scan....
Now do any of u lay on ur right side ive avoided it cos ive read its dangeroud for baby but god i miss it lol

Rooster100 you are most definately not a failure, I may be being completly naive and a little bit stupid by aiming for 38 weeks, we all just need to listen to our bodys (and our bumps) as to how far we can go before we HAVE to stop, being on your feet all day is stressful. I work 10 hour shifts some days but I have to take 15 min breaks every couple of hours else I cant do anymore.
Maggie111 I completly agree this thread does make it easier to fit into 3rd Tri, its a bit scary reading all this stuff about labour especially when we have a couple of months before we have to start worrying about that sort of stuff!!!

Oh my gosh I totally would stop at 29 weeks if i could. I am a yummy mummy pretending to be a professional most of the time. I am thinking of quitting work anyway after baby is Born - I am only working to end for the money and to earn a full maternity package.
Whether we can afford to live on DH salary alone I don't know. It will be a squeeze.
Pregnancy is exhausting me - I resent early mornings, having to fight against DS to dress him then drop him and run to Train. Hate it hate it!
I also work in Nhs ...

Loving this thread! I'm due April 23rd, and love nosing around third tri but don't really feel like I can relate to a lot of the posts yet because its mostly about whether labor is starting or not!

I feel lucky that i feel pretty good still, all though my pubic bone pain is getting worse lately because I've been enjoying getting outside and walking now the snow is gone. I just hope it is something that goes once baby is here!

Girls thanks so much for all yr comments! Going to see my gp today to see what she says. Will keep u updated! :) x

Hey ladies,

Im due 22nd April and already suffering with SPD and bubs head has moved down and now a bit in my pelvis...all in all its a struggle to even get off the sofa :dohh: i have asked for maternity leave to start at 38 weeks too but kind of regretting it now as im already struggling :dohh:

I agree, we are all different and every pregnancy is different so we have to stop letting people pressure us in to feeling bad when really we should be listening to our bodies :flower:

I must admit im not so much nesting as lazying but after a full day at work i am not capable of much these days...apart from online shopping for more baby things that is :haha:

That said, i am loving feeling him move about more and he seems to be getting stronger by the week :flower: its so nice to see so many ladies due around the same time :flower: xxx

I'm due 19th April and now I'm so excited that the time is dragging by!! :-(

It really is quite nice to have a thread for end of april due dates, because I too feel like although I'm in the "third tri" now, most of the posts in this thread are women who are ready to burst and aren't sure if they're bursting yet! :haha: I'm sure that will eventually be us all of us too, but at the moment, I don't want to read about it. lol

I forget who asked about still being the eggplant: you get to be each food item for 4 weeks now. If you're at three weeks of it, you have one more than it will change to a squash at 30 I believe. I used to look forward to my new food each week... so it's a bit of a drag it doesn't change every time now!

I'm jealous of you ladies who get mat leave at all! I'm a full time PhD student and I'll be writing exams in early/mid april... hopefully before LO arrives!!! I might get to take a 4 months break after LO arrives over the summer though , which I'm *really* looking forward to!

Hi everyone, im due 30th of April, but will having a section, so will most likely be anywhere from 23rd, hopefully anyway, as I had pp at my last scan. I have another scan in 1 week, so hoping the placenta has moved up.

I wanted to like most of you to work as long as possible but you never know when you just can't anymore. I feel the worst when I just sit down still, I like walking around it makes me feel better but everytime I walk even a few steps I get out of breath so easily! And then I feel exhausted!! So we shall see how long I can work till.
Have been pretty uncomfortable lately and bubs is going crazy kicking, punching, flipping etc.

Well what a tiring day my dd been up since 6:25am and have been non stop ive also done more guttering of our flat and then went and saw my sil and her two boys where dd was constanly running around with them.... Baby Ayana has been bit quiet today had few kicls but its cos ive been on the go her fav place to hit/kick is my bladder today...
How are u all today another day nearly over

My day is just beginning lol...

I can't complain at all. My kids are old enough to essentially take care of themselves and are very helpful around the house too. Dh is taking care of the grocery shopping and most of the meal prep as long as I have a plan for him.

My wonderful friend Marathongirl is on her way over for a visit right now. I'm going to have to share this thread with her. We met through this site and discovered we live in the same city and have a lot in common.

Midwife appt yesterday... baby is breech but nothing to worry about. Everything looks great.

Hi ladies, so I went to my gp and got signed off the rest of the week, I have a nasty UTI which may also be causing back pain. Going to take it week by week to see how work goes.
Today I went into town (Dublin) and bought a nice Clinique body lotion to cheer myself up! Bought some new maternity bras as I have grown again ! And a little blanket for lo! Xx
