End of February Testing Thread - Welcome back January Testers and welcome new comers!

Oh sorry about AF about to start, Nikki. Looks like I will be back to testing on the 24th, huh (assuming AF doesn't get me first)?

BUT I am glad someone is looking at everything for you, and that hubs is willing to get is SA'd.

From all that you have explained, it is just amazing to me that we are even able to get pregnant at all (obviously we can, seeing as though I have a son). BUT WHY when we try to make sure the cards are all lined up, does it still not work? Our bodies are soooo complicated... it is maddening!

Emily- Ill let your know when I get AF. If I don't get it by the 23rd then I will test just to make sure. Since Ill be at 15dpo something will have to happen.

Question for anyone that has PCOS (Mirolee I think you might)--- are cysts only present at a certain time of your cycle? Because when she looked with the ultrasound she didn't see any! I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS, but some things make me think that I have it and some don't. However doc said will probs put me on clomid soon.

Kyla :hugs: onto next month. Here's to a whole bunch of little November Turkeys!!! :)

Hey golds, this past week I was also diagnosed with pcos (woo hoo let's have a party). I have an u/s scheduled for next week. I believe, but I am not SURE, that you *can* have cysts with pcos. Also, you can have multiple follicles developing at the same time. In fact, my dr this week who diagnosed me said they are trying to change the name of pcos, because that name implies cysts when pcos as a diagnosis does not have to imply cysts. For example, when I had my u/s in 2008, I had large ovaries with many follicles (25) but no cysts. I have a feeling this time though, just how I'm feeling and crazy long cycle, that I will have a cyst, at least on my right side.
I had quite the appointment with my OB, 90 mins. LOTS of good things came out of my appt, including a Rx for provera, a SA appt for my honey, a Rx for cd3 bloodwork, and the promise of clomid when I'm ready. I love having a plan, now I'm just waiting for my period so we can JUST get on with it!
I'm sorry; long answer - did I answer your question?

Ps, I have large ovaries, elevated hormones (depending), and long cycles, with some irregularity. I do not have excess hair, insulin resistance, and I'm not overweight (ok, by like seven pounds, but not "heavy"). So I don't display classic symptoms externally for pcos. I am hoping my dr also put endocrinology as my code for insurance also.

Golds-This doctor sounds fantastic!! I'm so happy that you're getting some answers and have such a proactive Dr. on your side! Awesomeness!

AFM, HCG had a 32hr doubling time and came back at 208 today, yay! Going back next Thursday to check numbers again! I'm super grateful that my new OB is being super attentive, it really does make all the difference!!

Thanks! You did answer all my questions. Maybe we will be clomid buddies!! Sounds like I could have PCOS because I dont have cysts (that they saw) and my follicle count was 16... not sure if that is ok or not. But ov's were big. Im excited to get on with this like you are! And as you know my hormones are all over the place. I LOVE this doc! So excited to have someone like you to go threw this with (however sorry we have to go through this!)

Disney - So happy to hear all is well and thriving! :happydance:

Question: can you ovulate (and know with BBT/OPKs) but have an immature egg or "weak" egg, but think all is fine because you got a good BBT/OPK? I was reading that if your progesterone isn't high after ovulation then that could be the case. But would you see ovulation with BBT/OPK's with a "weak" egg. Asking because for the most part I get decent BBT/OPK's but i have NEVER seen my progesterone over 4.

Julie - happy belated birthday!

Gold (Nikki right) - sooo happy you feel so positive a out your appointment. Is t it crazy how much weight is already lifted off your shoulders just from that appointment.

My OB has said I have pcos but specialist not yet fully diagnosed me. I do have cycst on both ovaries. That and irregulars periods were enough for my OB to think pcos. No hair, not overweight etc. I'm excited for you!!!!!

Mirolee - I'm glad your dr. Is also taking steps to help you! Sweet! We could all be clomid buddies maybe?

Rachel and Kyla - I'm sorry this month isn't turning out the way we'd all hoped for you. :-( but still hoping for a random change the next for days for you both.

Asfm - still no signs of O and today is cd18. clomid how i miss you!!!!!! Ugh.

Golds-glad you're getting some answers!

Disney-Yay for the numbers!

Thanks everyone for the bday wishes! I had a great day :)

AFM-I had the positive opk Wed night. My temp still has not gone up. It's starting to really bother me. I've never had a positive without Oing that day or the day after. This is were the home insem starts to get complicated bc I don't want to keep asking our donor for donations when we agreed to only 2-3 a month. However, if I haven't O'd yet, what am I to do?!? So frustrating...All of my signs point to O except my temp...

Ugh Julie that frustrating. I hope the go up tomorrow!

Over- I'm excited to have you as knowledge too. We can all over come this.

Its driving me crazy how good my temps look. Crossing my fingers the ultrasound lady is wrong!!

Golds, I believe that with or without pcos you can have a weak egg; I think that is how chemicals or early mc happen. Just not good quality, ya know? Re: prog - I think (just a theory) that whether you have a weak or super egg, if your prog is low, implantation will be a problem. Prog helps make the lining good for the egg. Might want to ask the new doc about this theory, and if s/he thinks you should take prog sup
plements or something homeopathic to help out.

Thanks. Ya he took all (10 tubes!) the blood yesterday and said he will put me on meds depending what he thinks I need. So if my prog is low he will see it. I was 7dpo so my levels should be obviously high for prog if all is good with prog. If it is low then were is an obvious problem with it.

how everyone is feeling good and had a good day!!

Hey ladies! Sorry I have been MIA....took a little break for 24 hours from B&B....thanks for listening to all my negative ranting. I ended up coming down with something yesterday, I haven't been sick in a long time.

Nikki - That's awesome that you got a doc that took some initiative. Your chart is looking good. I wonder how they can tell that you are about to shed your lining?

Hope everyone else is well :flower:

Hi ladies, quiet day today, huh? We went to my aunt's house who has cancer tonight for dinner. It's worse than they thought (it has metastasized to her femur), but they are moving forward with treatments and handling it with grace and dignity and strength. She was in good spirits but got really tired toward the end of the night.
Also, my son is still sick. He had as 102 degree fever last night and has been miserable all day. Fever is lower today, but I hope he is better tomorrow so I can push the fear of bronchitis or an ear infection out of my mind.
Any who, nothing to report on my front. Still over a week until testing, feels like it is taking forever....

Rachel when will u test again. Your temps look good and u were sick.

Ya my temps look great and cp is higher then before. Ff said af will come wed. So well see. She said looks like I'll start shedding because my lining was getting lighter. I didn't see it but I don't know what I was looking at.

Emily so sorry about your aunt. That must be hard!! Hope your son feels better! And u get rest.
