England seaside holiday help!

Due 14th September and really want to get away for a few days begining of August.. Haven holidays is what we normally do some years as we do love the seaside but 3 nights for about £300 is a joke!

Has anyone got any ideas?

All we want it to be by the beach and easy to get to from Essex and wont cost a fortune.

Im from Essex too and I love mersea Island nr Colchester for a beach holiday, you really can get away from it all. Also have you had a look on Gumtree for caravans for rent, you might get a good deal x

The best holiday we've ever been on was in Great Yarmouth. Not sure how far that is from you though!

you cant beat great yarmouth I have just come back from a 10 day stay at haven seashore.

I have just booked a 3 bed caravan on a resort in Devon for £250 for next weekend but included in that is linen, beds made up on arrival, entertainment passes for the whole family and a welcome basket of bread, milk, tea, coffee, bacon etc. We also get a travel cot included. Its a private caravan on a holiday park so we booked direct with the owner, if we had booked through the resort it would have cost over £500.

There are a quite a few websites advertising privately owned caravans, chalets and lodges in seaside resorts. Its definitely cheaper to book direct.

Oh where is essex are you? I live in leigh on sea, so right on top of the beach and it may not be a holiday getaway but there is loads to do down here. There is a childrens themem park on the seafront, loads of amusements, play centres, sea life centre, the longest peir in the world,bowling, ice skating, southend is a tourist attraction so you definitely wont get bored down here lol.

Id reccommened, clacton, Cornwall, Devon, Frinton on sea, Walton on the naze, great yarmouth, Hastings is lovely, Brighton.

I'm sorry but £300 is normal really what are you expecting it's peak season and August is always the priciest sucks i know, whitstable have some goregous fishman cottages on the seafront but it's about £80 a night x
