I have started this thread to try and raise some awareness.
On 17th of December 2009 my best friend sadly lost her little girl due to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) which is similar to SIDS.
Her daughter Abigail, passed away aged just 23 months weighing only 18lbs, after living with the condition since 2 months old.
Abigail was born healthy and developed normally but at just 2 and a half months old she had her first seizure.
Abigail was diagnosed with epilepsy, but the fits continued and became more severe. In October 2008 specialist doctors diagnosed generalised Dravets Syndrome (Dravet's Syndrome is a rare hard to control form of epilepsy).
The day Abigail passed, snow started to fall, huge snowflakes, and it didn't stop for days, It was the first white christmas in our area for YEARS.
We know that was your last Goodbye Abigail, you left us with some truly wonderful memories.

Not many people are aware that Epilepsy kills as many people a year as breast cancer, which receives 5x more funding, More people need to know about this condition and we are trying to spread awareness.
If you care about Epilepsy and would like to help raise awareness or would like to pay condolences to this beautiful little girl, then join this group and hopefully, together we can raise awareness and funds, and one day to find a cure for Epilepsy.
