Fast Food baby

i like brocoli too :D Amelie used to but isnt fussy about it now. She likes sprouts though!

I want to see how this other lassie is doing. The one that had a heartache. I hope it shows before it ends.

its hardly cooking though is it LOL atleast its an improvement.

it just seems odd that children need to be
introduced to fruit and veg outside of the home

i'm quite lucky emily loves veg, she'll go through
a whole bowl of peas or broccoli with no trouble
the same with pasta and rice, and when she comes
shopping i let her pick the fruit and veg, so to me
i suppose it seems normal ....

Yes, it is sad but if it helps some families then it cant be a bad thing  I spend a bloody fortune in tescos fruit and veg isle :dohh: So happy its summer soon so I can get her berries cheaper

emily's got a thing for grapes, they're
not the cheapest of fruits either lol
atleast peas and things are cheap, it's only
me and emily who eat in the evening so fruit
and veg only comes to about £15 a week
then meat and fish ontop so we don't spend
toooo much tbh

i suppose it can't be a bad thing just seems
odd to me but then again what i think is normal
might seem odd to someone else :haha:

Jayden loves fruit and veg thank goodness, i hope he doesn't turn fussy! he had an orange today he sucked it dry!

what? Really???? how backwards......

why, surely as parents we should be buying a range
of food in order to find what your child likes and doesn't like?

why on earth would i need a professional to tell my child
what fruit and veg is? should be a normal thing in a family home
so why would i need to go somewhere for my child to learn
i teach her myself thankyou, if she asks what something is
when we go shopping, i tell her ....

Hm I understand what you're saying. Its the parents responsibility to teach their children which foods are the right ones to eat and encourage them to have a healthy diet. However if parents are struggling (genuinely), then its think its cool that the option of professional help is there if necessary.

i don't disagree with it, i've just never heard of it but yeah
you're right if it helps those who can't then fair dos

not watched it but by reading this those parents should be ashamed.. 6cans of coke aday!! i go mad if oh even lets kyle have a sip of any fizzy pop..

Kyle is a picky eater at times but when his in one of those moods i just put some cheesse over his dinner and he eats it all right up normaly Veg first then leaving most of the meat/fish

Skye has never had fizzy drinks or take away, i wont mind her having the odd bit of takeaway in the future though but never fizzy drinks till she's well older.

We are in the same position as the couple who's son was in hospital.

Skye was in hospital too and since then has just never been interested in food. she hates being restricted (had to have alot of canulars so meant alot of holding down) so hates being in the highchair. She will eat bits and bobs its not because she doesnt like vegetables because she will eat them, just 2/3 bites and then she's uninterested, so i find myself trying to give her allsorts to ''fill her up'' never takeaways but a dinner would consist of proper dinner ie spag bol, breadstick, cheese, cucumber, ricecakes, fruit, yoghurt etc a little bit of everything creates one dinner.

Im hoping her appetite will just pick up, im not too concerned though because the child never sits still always has a smile on her face and is super clever.

That programme was shocking though that mum who only ordered takeaways :(
