February Testers!! 23 BFPs!!!

Glad it's going well. I'm curious to see when I ovulate this month too. Hopefully it won't be too long for either of us xxx

Congrats to all the :bfp:. I'm in the tww also, and my DH is cracking me up...he is like "whats your temp? Why is that high? should we be holding your legs up?" hehe I have to tell him everyday now that we have to just wait...its making him more crazy then me :)

Mine too! He's certain that we should continue with the daily BD "just to make sure"!!! I think he's just using it as a good excuse to have some fun! :)

Thats better than what my OH says after i eventually get up he just simply says 'any spillage yet' lol oh the joys of men

LOL!! Mine is pretending that he is not too interested but I can tell he secretly is. I have been trying not to talk too much, explain too much, etc as I don't want it all to become about conceiving. However, he does ask questions every now and then and asked to see my chart and what it all meant the other day. I think that we are both trying to not put pressure on the other.

However, he is loving the idea of trying to conceive!! In fact he even said that he is hoping it takes some time so he can continue to enjoy it! At least I don't have any problems in getting his to BD when we need to!

hey ladies just an update..i am 9dpo today..the dr called with my progesterone test and said i did ovulate so my clomid break was a success still :) now i just wait..i feel like af is coming though so im not getting too excited..at least i ovulated on my own though..i am tempted to test tomorrow..i havent taken a pg test since november! i have waited for af and not tested early the last 2 months so now im itching to try one lol

Hi Hlynn

Congrats on the ovulating on your own, can I ask how long you had taken clomid for and what for??

I have PCOS and really long irregular cycles and have taken two cycles of clomid so far, FS has told me to stop taking it for the moment though as i have painful cycles so he has suggested a laparoscopy ... need to stop the clomid untill after that so i dont waste it.

Have to wait 18 weeks on the NHS though so really hoping that i ovulate on my own this cycle!!

Hope its not the :witch: for you but a lovely :bfp: xxx

thanks mamadonna!
looks like we are about a day apart maybe even the same dpo :)
im not exactly sure what day i ovulated so im either 8 or 9 dpo
when r u planning on testing? i am so tempted to try one lol

thank you so much i am just happy i ovulated on my own without the meds

i actually took clomid because sometimes my periods will just stop for months at a time so i dont ovulate regularly on my own
i dont have PCOS but it seems like the majority of the women on clomid have that, what does the laparoscopy do?
i would have to agree its better not to waste clomid, its not good to take it for a long time i think they recommend no more than 6 consecutive months
have u been ovulating the months that u did take the clomid?

Hi

The laparoscopy is to check my tubes and for endo etc as ive been having painful ovulation etc. No point using the clomid if something else is wrong as well.

Yep i deffo ovulated both times on just 50mg clomid .... first time confirmed by bloods and then second time confirmed using temping!

Just hoping its kick started my body into knowing what to do and i wont have to wait too long till i ovulate again and can give it another go!! Do you think it builds up in your system a bit???

I see you ovulated quite late, cd 20, ive been ovulating cd 18 so still a bit of a wait to go!!

Fingers crossed for your :bfp: and thanks for all the info xxxx

yes and i even ovulated earlier on clomid, on cd 17 usually so on my natural cycle it was cd20 maybe even 21 because im not sure what day to count as ovulation i dont temp..but the blood test deff confirmed ovulation so i did for sure just not sure of the day..but im having tons of cm, cramps, nausea, bloating and even some back pain so i feel as if AF is on her way..i ovulated all 4 months on clomid, the lowest dose 50mg..last month i had my hsg to check my tubes and they are clear..so im hoping that ill get my bfp soon..ive heard that clomid clears out of ur system pretty fast, but then again i have heard it stays around..so im not too sure about that..i dont know if i want to try the clomid again if af shows or if i wanna take another break and then try it again..r u gonna be able to take it next month? when are ur tests?

callalin your not out yet rember that af symptoms mimic pregnancy symptoms

I have to wait 18 weeks on the NHS for the laparoscopy, I have an apopintment with my fertility specialist on the 28th Feb though so im going to ask him what I can do in the meantime as he told me not to take the clomid at all untill after the op!

Thats really good, im really hoping ill ovulate on my own too, you have certainly given me hope!! Ive been having creamy cm and had a slight ovary twinge earlier so fingers crossed something is happening!! I temp and use OPKs so hopefully that will give me an idea of what happens!!

Good luck, hopefully they arent AF symptoms but something else completely :baby:!!

xxxx

i deff wasnt expecting to ovulate on my own but i just thought a break was needed because i was having like 2 day short dark brown periods and i thought that the clomid was affecting my lining, so i took my own break. and i have hope for u that u will ovulate too! :D let me know what u find out! oh and i just wanted to let u know that this month i actually had ovulation pains 3 days before my positive opk..i was really thrown off by that

Congrats to everyone on their BFP, 11 so far!

I am wondering though how some people get their BFP a wk before af due, I wouldn't have though HCG levels would be high enough to detect on HPT. Girls did you get you BFP on a HPT or a blood test? I've just never heard of getting a BFP that early before:blush:

You can buy really sensitive HPTs online that detect 10-15miu of hCG.

But really it all depends on the pregnancy, how soon implantation occurs so the hCG can start increasing is really what it comes down too. Sometimes you can test a week early and get a :bfp:, and sometimes you can test early and get a :bfn: but go on to get a :bfp: days later. Sometimes with the sensitive tests you won't even get a :bfp: before AF is due, even if you are pregnant. FRER you can test 6 days early too, I think, so it's not just the extra sensitive ICs that can pick it up early.

I had a bfn at 10dpo.I tested with first response and clearblue digital on 11 dpo and BFP.I have seen many women not get theirs until after af is due.So I guess it varies.
