How many feeds per day does your LO take? I'm urrently struggling to get in 5 feeds per day and thinking of cutting down to 4.

LO is sleeping through from 7pm to 5/6am so I really have about 13 hours to get 5 feeds in. He takes 7oz at the minute. I was wondering what if I tried 8oz with 4 feeds?

I just worry that I'm trying to feed him when he's not necessarily hungry :/

Imi has been on 4 feeds for almost all the days since she started sleeping through (6 weeks). She has 4x 9 1/2 oz bottles usually at about 7 - 7:30 am, 11:30am, 3:30pm and 7:30pm :)

Ruby had 9oz bottles at those times before weaning, plus a dreamfeed at 10.30pm.

And she also started sleeping through at 6 weeks...

Lilly has 4/5 oz every 3 hours, im really trying to change it but shes having none of it!

My LO has 4 x 8oz feeds per day, sometimes he takes a little less.

My HV told me off today for not giving him enough, but I really don't know how I'd get any more in him:shrug:

Ever since we switched to comfort formula, it's filled him up so much more that he dropped his nightfeed, and when we first switched he dropped about 2oz per bottle, although he has gradually made that back up since.

I use AR formula which is a bit thick. Omar only takes 4 feeds 5 oz during the day & one 6 oz at bedtime. He might take extra 3-4 oz but not daily. Just feed on demand, & if he's not hungry he'll let u knw.

My LO is on comfort milk too - maybe the thickness really affects the eating. Today went well but it'll depend how he goes during the night whether or not this will work out!

Thanks ladies :)

Evie's on 5 bottles a day atm. She used to have 6 but then dropped her night feed so is on 5. We've tried the dreamfeed route but she's not interested now, altho it worked for a week or so!
She used to have over 30 oz per day but now is on around 24-25oz. I'm lucky if she'll take 6oz per feed atm, she used to take 6oz with no problems, we were thinking of upping her bottles by an ounce! But then she had this decrease in appetite and she's on 5oz bottles again :(
