Hi everyone. I will be 35 in April...so I count myself to be part of this group :) I have long, irregular cycles, am currently on cd39, ovulated on cd29, have an LP of 10 days so AF should be here in the morning. Tested today and got a bfn... Hopefully I can give and receive some support in this thread, as I feel a bit lost at the minute . :dust: xx

This TTC is a roller coaster ride girl, hold on tight, pray for the best and keep on trucking! You will get there. Have you seen a specialist to determine why your cyles are so irregular?

:hugs: this is a challenging time for us as we're going any younger,I'll be 40 next month and I know that there's less and less chance of getting a bfp. Keep strong, try not to stress about this journey. Good luck x

Garnet, they ruled out pcos, but couldn't give me any answers, said its a mystery...go figure! It makes ttc really hard as I never know from one month to the next when or even if i will ovulate...so strictly speaking, i only have around 6 cycles a year. :( anyways, fx'd for all the mummie's-to-be still waiting for those beautiful two lines xx

Have you had your thyroid tested? I know it's a basic thing, but it was one thing that was causing me to have irregular, erratic cycles (21 to 44 days) and although I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago, when I went to see a consultant gynaecologist, he thought it was more the thyroid problems than PCOS.

(Incidentially, I had my 'first' last month at age 44 -- so there is hope for a successful pregnancy as an older mom!)

best wishes

My cycles were long and irregular when I was ttc my first LO (me aged 36). I had been on the contraceptive pill for many years, and after I came off it, my cycles were getting ever longer. The month we conceived (11th cycle) my opk was positive on cd 27.
Have you recently come off the pill?
Just wanted to let you know you can conceive with long irregular cycles - although it takes more opk's and makes the whole thing even more maddening. Hope you get you BFP soon hun xx

Sorry you're feeling low! It is so hard and can feel so isolating. I would second the thyroid testing idea. It's so frustrating when there aren't easy answers. Hang in there.
