Hello all,
I'll be 29 in another month. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the last 5 years. The last 3 years while under close monitoring at a fertility clinic. We have had 7 unsuccessful IUI and finally saved up enough for an IVF. My fresh transfer was cancelled a day prior because of Over Stimulation and a lot of fluid in my ovaries. I did develop over 50 follicles from which 25 are currently frozen. 6 of the 25 are Hatching blastocysts grade AA. The remaining 19 are Expanded Blastocysts with all being an AA except 2 which are an AB.
We are going to have a frozen cycle done this month and one of the consent form asks for Assisted Hatching. I've read on the internet and found that it is recommended for women over 35 years of age or those with frozen eggs at around day 3. I wanted to get the opinions of others. If one is under 30 and has embryos frozen on day 5, would you recommend doing Assisted Hatching? My husband and I are leaning towards transferring one of the hatching blastocysts without AH but the doctor is really pushing us to go with AH irrespective of the one we choose. We want to have a boy girl combo and would like to minimize the risk of identical twins. With AH on day 5, we've read that Identical Twins chances increase to near 9% from <1% because of the risk of splitting while using the laser.
Anyone have experience doing FET without AH?
