What on earth goes in them? The other kids will be mainly under 2's so can't just fill them with sweets really!

I also want to give a small token to the adults, any ideas?

We're nowhere near a first birthday party yet but I'd probably just give the little ones a toy or a book with a small slice of birthday cake. You could do pretty little thank you notes for the adults, unless you meant an actual gift? x

Ooh I love the book idea, like those little square ones, travel size. Good idea.
I like the thank you note idea but were planning to send them afterwards so would like something to give on the day.

Have you got a home bargains nearby? The one near me sells loads of those little square board books for 59p each, add a balloon and a bit of cake and that's a nice little gift.

Not sure about the grown ups - never really known anyone give things to the adults at a baby party. How many adults? Male or female?

Maybe you could get some of those individual chocolate boxes from Thorntons? No idea what they cost though.
