first cycle actively trying (June 2015)

I read what to expect before your expecting when I started getting really bad baby fever. but only thing I actually did from it was starting prenatals before conceiving. Lol. I didn't join these boards until I started having symptoms with my chemical. There really is so much information from all these women. I have learned so much in the few months of talking to women.

I am so excited to test! I was doing fine, didn't have an issue waiting until AF was late but now everyone on other boards are getting BFP at 9 and 10 DPO and just makes me want to join them! I'll need to borrow some of your self control mini! Haha. I might test one day early just because DH has Wednesdays off from his night job so we could celebrate together. Trying to figure out a special way to tell him whenever I do get a bfp. I don't want to just show him the stick, even though I may be too excited to hold it in for more than 3 seconds. Haha. Anyone have any cute ideas for telling the Daddy? Pinterest isn't too much help for that.

mini- I've heard that too, but then I've got friends who went off BC and were pregnant within a couple of months while "practicing", haha!

gina- I've been trying to think of cute ideas too! Let us know if you come across any. I honestly think i'm just going to spontaneously come running out of the bathroom waving a freshly peed-on stick while hubby stands there like

AFM: I'm still getting the hang of charting my O days. I think I O'd on CD 11, which was 8/8. I had a temp spike the day before and 2 days after, and now I'm back down to my "regular" the past 2 days. FF predicted earlier, while the other apps I have are saying it should happen tomorrow, but we've been BDing every other day this week anyway, so hopefully we'll catch it regardless! It's so funny, the TWW is torture, but even now, I'm so impatient just to get to the TWW and stop worrying about catching the egg!

I will probably end up doing the same, RexMom. I want to do something cute and memorable but I have such a hard time holding anything back from my DH, which is probably a good thing, but makes surprises soooo hard. He knows I plan to test next Thursday so if I test Wednesday I might be able to plan something. Everything on pinterest seems more if it's unexpected. The only one I liked was changing his phone wallpaper to a pic of the test or a icon saying "youre going to be a daddy" while he is sleeping so he sees it in the morning but my DH is a super light sleeper and I don't think i could hold it in that long haha.

I don't temp so I don't know much about that but as long as you BD every other day you have a good chance! From what I've read about it id say your right about when you O'd. FF has been known to be wrong about predictions. Lol. I always tell it I got some test saying I O'd on the day I think I did so it will just start counting dpo haha.

Any opinions on the name Wyatt? Possibly Wyatt Joseph? My DH and I have been trying to think of a boy name for like a year now. I just either don't like any or know someone with it or its just too out there for us. I told hubby last night he couldn't start the movie we were going to watch until he gave me one boy name he actually liked. Haha. Took like 20 mins but he finally said Wyatt and I kinda like it. Usually after a week I no longer like any name I come up with. Haha. What do you think? Does it work with the middle name Joseph? That's his dad's middle name. I wanted James Joseph which is DH middle name and his dad's middle name but he has a friend named James so he doesn't want to do that.

Hey guys! I have been stalking this thread for a while and decided maybe I should just join it This is my first cycle off birth control and trying for a little one. I am not temping/charting or using opks. Right now we are just BDing everyday from when my withdrawl bleed ended until my next period Not sure if I even ovulated this month as it is my first cycle off birth control in about 10 years! Went off birth control on July 19th so if I have a normal 28 day cycle (which I have no idea what my cycles were even like before bc) I should have my period by Aug 20. I will be waiting until Aug 30 to test as I am thinking there is a good chance my period could be later due to coming off birth control. Fx for everyone Hope we all get BFP soon!

welcome mrsjare! Hopefully your cycles are regular straight off the bat and you get your BFP ASAP!!

AFM: added my temp this morning and it shifted my AF date 2 days earlier to 8/25 and thus, shifted my O dates earlier too. Luckily it shifted to the days DH and I timed everything perfectly, so I hope it's accurate! So now I would be 1DPO. So odd!

Yay for being in the TWW! If AF comes this month I might try temping next month as I won't actually be trying so I don't have to worry about it stressing me out. I'd like to see if FF agrees with my O predictions lol.

Gina I love the name Wyatt. One of my brothers is named Benjamin Wyatt. I think it works really well with Joseph too. I can't wait for you to test! Almost there now!

Just ordered some FRER tests! should be here Tuesday! I am getting nervous about having another chemical pregnancy. Trying to make sure I don't test too early so I don't get a positive if it's not gonna stick. As much as i feel I am pregnant there is always that risk.

Have you ovulated yet mini? How have you and DH been doing?

gina: what DPO are you now? My Wondfos should be delivered today! I'm going to wait until 10dpo to test though, same reasons.

mini: How are you? Any updates?

AFM: I guess I'm 2-3DPO now. Yesterday I had tremendous bloating and a few cramps, and my boobs, they are swollen and so tender it's hard to go downstairs fast. However, bloating could be from all the chick peas I ate on my salad for lunch.

I am 9 dpo today. Trying to wait until at LEAST 12 dpo. I have a 14 day LP so ideally I'd like to wait until AF is due but I am so weak when it comes to testing haha.

When I had my chemical in may the first thing that tipped me off was my boobs. They were soooo sore on the sides. Started at like 1dpo. Thankfully I don't have that yet. I usually get sore a week or so before AF so it was weird for me to be so sore so early. So maybe that's a good sign for you!

So many good signs, ladies! I think we are going to be on a roll this month I'm sure it's a sticky bean, Gina! I can't wait for you to test.

I had ovulation signs the last couple days, light cramping and really stretchy egg white CM...but I'm not tracking and it's still early based on when AF ended so who knows. We have been BD'ing every other day just to cover our bases. I have been seeing baby stuff EVERYWHERE so maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something? I hope so.

I hope so too! Hopefully the less stressful approach will work for you. Everyone on my other threads seem to be a week ahead of me. Seeing all there bfp just makes me want my own. Hopefully this thread can keep the streak (of 1 haha) going!

Same! I've got such bad baby fever lately. Especially seeing all these cute little babies on Facebook. I love all the ideas on here about announcing the bfp to the hubbies. I know I won't be able to keep the secret for even a few minutes from him lol, I'll probably run out of the bathroom waving the test.
