What is the best times to test? How long do you hold your urine? What CD do you start testing? I have irregular cycles so its hard to determine when to start testing. I am currently on CD 10, I have took 4 opk tests, 2 on CD 8 at 2 and 10 with 2 hour holding, then 2 yesterday at 2 with 2 hour holding and 7 with 3 hour holding. There were all negative, and a friend of mine thinks I should hold off a 2-3 days before retesting because there was really nothing there. What would be your opinions ladies? Thanks for your advice! :)

The first pic... The first is CD 8(from top to bottom) last one is CD9
The one by its self is the last one I took on CD 9

Would need to see the untweaked as it needs to get as dark as the control line I have a fairly regular cycle and I started at cd7 just because it was my first time using them. I tested once a day for the first few days and them went to twice a day once I got closer to when I though ovulation would be based on cm. I test on about two hour hold and heard 2 pm was about the ideal time so I would test then and I again in the evening. Gl.

Its my first month using them as well as I have irregular cycles too.

I started testing yesterday. Im testing between 2-2:30pm. I hold my urine for approx 2 hours. Im making sure to test at the same time each day.

I just started using OPK's last month, as I've been trying to track my cycles. My directions said to use the FMU, so that's what I did. I tested first thing in the morning after I got up, just that one time each day.

I went a head and took one tonight at 7 held urine for 3 hours, still negative. Its the bottom one, when you put it up to the light you can see a very very faint line.

They are all negative, the test line has to be as dark as the control line for a positive OPKs. With mine, at first I can't see anything and then a few days before ovulation a faint line starts and gets darker and darker over the next few days. Then I usually get a positive OPK on the day of and the day after ovulation (where the test line is as dark as the control line). After that the test line gradually gets lighter again until it disappears.
