First period after csection?

I had a csection on June 4th. Bled for about 4weeks after. At my 6 week appointment I got on birth control. I pumped breastmilk for about 2 months.
Question is when did your first cycle come? How long did you bleed with your first period after your csection? Does it start right away bc I'm on birth control? Anything you can share from your experience is welcome... Thank you!

Ive been on the mini pill since my 6 week check i bled for 5 weeks after my section, im having my first light period now and my LO is 12 weeks today so thats 7 weeks! My scar started to hurt again before, also im on anti biotics so that might be why ive come on!

I only bled for about 2 weeks after emcs, but I'd been bleeding since before my contractions started so lost a fair amount in labour beforehand. My first period came 7-8 weeks after emcs, next took about 6 weeks and was regular again afterwards. I hadn't missed them at all!

Thanks everyone for your experiences. I actually thought I had started yesterday. No sign of a cycle like I used to have. No cramps, no headache, no noticeable mood swings, etc...just a a small amount of blood on my panties. No bleeding since. Weird. Normally when I start I start I don't have spotting til toward the end of my cycle. But guess we will see.
I was just curious how many days other women bled bc I've read a couple stories and some say their first period was like 2-4 weeks long. =/

I started mine exactly 4 weeks after my c-section! It lasted normal- about 5 days for me. I was also a full time breastfeeder that produced TONS of milk. Sadly, when my period started it depleted rapidly! I was so sad. I had 2 sections and this was the case right after both. I'm so sad to think that its going to happen again the 3rd time around!

Well thought i would update i started a period 7 weeks after section, bled for 5 dats then stopped for 9 days then my period started really heavy again 9 weeks after my section. so i had 2 periods in 2 weeks lol, dont ask how but i hope it sorts itself out soon

Mine lasted about 5 days and was very light, but thats the only one i've gotten so far, i'm breastfeeding so not sure if that makes a difference

My youngest was c section bled for 10weeks period came at 12weeks. the same as normal heavy, legnthy and painfull.

I bled for 6 weeks after my section. I got my period when my son was 5 months old when we introduced solids. xxx
