First person you told

My best friend happened to call while I was waiting for the 3 minutes for the test, so really she knew before OH! Although I had taken an ic test first thing in the morning while he was there and there was a faint line.....so he kind of knew first, but we weren't sure.

I called my best friend once I got to the office in the morning. She was the only person who knew we were TTC and were having troubles with it. I was glad I did because she reassured me that everything was ok when I worried...having just been through it herself, it was a relief to speak to her!

My husband was NOT the first to know. I called him, but he didn't answer his phone. I had to tell somebody, so I called my friend and told her. Then DH finally called me back and I told him

My coworker, I was really upset about my positive test and she was worried about me. I just sort of blurted it out.

I put best friend. DH and I are best friends with another couple, we are like super crazy close. They recently moved to Texas, so we decided to Skype (webcam) with them a few hours after we found out. They were so excited for us, as they've also had their share of TTC/ectopic issues (They have 2 sons, so we weren't worried about jealousy issues or anything, iykwim). It was easier to tell them than our parents, because we've always had to tell both sets of parents at the same time, so there's no "How come they got to know first?!" kind of drama.

I didnt tell anyone for a few days then i told my mum and brother at the same time, and then a friend a day later because i had a bit of a meltdown (wasn't working, didnt know if we'd cope) and everyone else after our 12 week scan!

I told this person I worked with, he wasn't a great friend but he really liked me and I rang him because I knew he'd calm me down and tell me what to do ( I Was on my own in london in Debenhams Oxford Circus and about to get a tube to work) I would have told OH first but I new he'd freak out so I needed a bit of reassurance from someone before telling OH.. I said to him.. ''Hey babe, I just did a pregnancy test and it wasn't negative... ''

Me and OH did the test together and kept the good news to ourselves for a while - it was nice having a secret

Then we told his family as we saw them first, then mine the week after. Most fun was telling my sister and her husband as they had just had their second daughter a week before we told them, so they were so excited for a cousin!

Oops, I voted mum/dad but it was my GP. We didn't tell anyone, parents included, until after 12 weeks/
