First pos opk.anyone wanna count down to testing??

Have you had to go to a fertility specialist or anything?....I haven't gone that far yet, just with my OB taking clomid, but when it gets close to the 2 year mark...they're referring me to a specialist.

I have not. Just my OB for now. I'm on my first round of Femara and can do that 2 more times. If I don't get pregnant from one of them then the plan is to take a break for a month and have my fiance do a SA. As long as everything is normal on his end, then we will do Clomid. If we're still not pregnant after that, then she will be referring us to an RE. If my fiance's SA is abnormal then we will just go straight to IUI more than likely.

I knew something was wrong and I wasn't ovulating for a while but was too scared to go to the doctor. I finally broke down and went in January and was officially diagnosed with PCOS although I have suspected it for about 2 years. So we've only been with her for 3 months. She feels confident Clomid or Femara will work for me and it won't need to go as far as a RE. Hopefully she is right.

I waited 7 months after stopping birth control to go to the doctor. I actually posted on some sites about going to the doctor and had several people be very mean telling me I was ridiculous for going so early. I had been temping and using opks for four months, no positives, no temp rises, cycles averaging 45 days. I started clomid around month 8. And for two cycles didn't ovulate. Third round I ovulated. By the 5th round I became pregnant. By 8 weeks had a missed miscarriage. Right now I'm on my second round after the miscarriage.

If it were for the clomid I wouldn't be ovulating. They think I have progesterone issues as well, getting tested for that Friday...if I get pregnant I'm supposed to take progesterone for 12 weeks.

How does the Femara make you feel?

I decided to do Femara first because I heard the side effects of Clomid can be bad and it thins your lining whereas Femara doesn't. My doctor said she has had more success for women with PCOS with Femara. The week I was on it, I had some pretty bad migraines and hot flashes but other than that, I've been fine. Ovulation was VERY painful though. It was so bad I was scared I had OHSS or something. I cried last night because my ovaries hurt so bad and sex was painful because of it. I ovulated though so no complaints. I'd do it again in a heartbeat next month.

First rounds of clomid I would only notice hot flashes. After four month break and starting it that first month back was rough. But this month hardly anything. It can thin your lining over time that's why they generally only allow you to do 6 months at a time. At this point I am resigned to the fact I'll have to take something to ovulate!!!

I haven't been diagnosed with pcos, but I believe that's what I have.
