five year old missing!!

I sorta thought if there was no truth in it then they would just deny it. But who knows

:( I can't believe they haven't found her yet. I feel so helpless, I wish I was there so I could help look or something. She's the same age as Holly, I feel physically sick. I know it sounds ridiculous but I've been tearful all day. I never ever watch the news or read the papers but I've had bbc news on all day today, just hoping that they find her. I still have hope.

I think they would of denied it as well.

Guess it will all come out eventually x

Not at all ridiculous. Many of us feel the same sweetie :hugs:

I hope there is truth in it then & maybe it means it's some warped vendetta & she is hidden somewhere.

I have never been so affected by anything like this, heartbreaking.

This is exactly what I am hoping. In my head it is hoping that he was in love with April's mum, and April's mum was with him for a while (be that an affair or whatever) and then ended it, sparking his breakdown, so he set out to hurt her in the 'way she hurt him'. Everyone knows you get to a Mum through their children :(

"The search for April has tonight extended beyond her home town Machynlleth, on the fringes of Snowdonia national park in mid Wales, into an area described as a "hostile environment".

:( is this good or not hun?

What scares me to death is the thought she could be ANYWHERE...in those missing hours he could have literally taken her anywhere. It must be so difficult for the police & those involved, it's bad enough for me when I'm not 'part of it'. And her friends/family.....christ I can't even go there :(

Oh god! Hostile environment doesn't sound good!

Why the hell doesn't he just tell them!! Really makes me angry!

I am not sure. It is better than them searching the river cos obviously it leaves some hope that she is alive and he has hidden her some where, but the hostile enviroment suggest it is really open to the elements.

Personally I read it as 'bad' - SNP is HUGE & to say they are searching there is so very vague it makes me think they have nothing to go on really. But then maybe they do, they wouldn't release where they were going I guess. Ugh.

What are they basing these searches on? Do you think he's toying with them and giving them clues but turn out to be nothing, like the farmhouse?

Interesting that they have thoroughly searched the river, banks and surrounding area and found nothing. Interesting they are now searching further afield. Makes me wonder if Mr. Bridger is leading them up the garden path, so to speak. Perhaps it really is revenge and she's somewhere close. Better to think than the alternative. Hmm.

ETA: Didn't see the above post, this is what I'm beginning to think.

They have used hostile a few times to describe the environment around the town so I think they are just making it clear it's going to be extremely difficult to search.
