What scares me to death is the thought she could be ANYWHERE...in those missing hours he could have literally taken her anywhere. It must be so difficult for the police & those involved, it's bad enough for me when I'm not 'part of it'. And her friends/family.....christ I can't even go there

Yes it must be very difficult for the professionals not to punch him in the face. He could of taken her any where, the good news though is that roads blocks happened quite quickly and also if people did see him like it has been suggested then he cant of gone very far at all.

Im not a fan of violence, but at times like this I really wish someone could flipping beat a confession from him? God forbid even she isn't alive, her parents still need her back and soon I've just been emotional all day.
It's different but when my Step sister died all i could think was about her being cold ( She drowned) And today I've just reliving that April might be cold. It sounds so daft, but the cold scares me so much

Yes, interesting it has been said he could not have gone very far as the police put up road blocks so quickly. So what had led them so far away? There would be no reason unless something had been said, though I'm starting to think he's leading them on a wild goose chase.

What are they basing these searches on? Do you think he's toying with them and giving them clues but turn out to be nothing, like the farmhouse?

The farmhouse seems like he was living there, so not something he was toying with them about. I have no idea what they are basing them on though.

Interesting that they have thoroughly searched the river, banks and surrounding area and found nothing. Interesting they are now searching further afield. Makes me wonder if Mr. Bridger is leading them up the garden path, so to speak. Perhaps it really is revenge and she's somewhere close. Better to think than the alternative. Hmm.

ETA: Didn't see the above post, this is what I'm beginning to think.

I really am beginning to think revenge, and that he is a cocky ******* who thought he wouldnt get caught. I think she might be in a hideaway some where, alive.

This is playing on my mind, Vicky is making out she doesn't know Mark Bridger yet it is her he just broke up with and he's still listed as her husband on Facebook. Something doesn't sit right.

It could be that he wanted to scare them and show the parents how untouchable he was and that he could do anything to them but it escalated so quickly to being a national concern and he panicked

I just burst into tears as I read this. I understand the cold thing, and my situation is even more different to you and your step-sister. When Honey was born I wrapped her in blankets because I couldnt bare the thought of her getting cold, silly really cos it wasnt out in the elements like your SS or April but it just seemed so wrong that she had been snuggled warm inside me for the 36+6 and now this coldness The same happened with Riley Rae. Not mentioned that to anyone, ever.

He could be sat in there saying nothing, saying she's here there & everywhere, telling them places to deliberately get them out of other areas.....ugh. I can't stop thinking this had to be pre-planned, getting the other kids into his car a few days ago etc, in which case maybe he had time to plan a hideaway for her.....got to keep thinking positively, I can't bear the alternative.

What plays on my mind too is, if his daughter was playing with April before she was taken, how did she not know it was her dads van that took April? I am assuming she was picked up before hand then?

This is what I was hinting at earlier when I said that I wouldnt be surprised if there was a press conference involving an ex gf, and when I said that it wouldnt surprise me if an ex was involved.

Yeah there is no way he could of realised the amount of media and people that would be involved, and so quickly.
