five year old missing!!

No i dont think it will be the same as the McCanns in the sense that i think they will find her. Sadly i dont think it will be a good outcome. I think as the days pass its highly unlikely that she will be found alive but there is always the hope until she is found.

Does anyone else think

this is another madi mcan (spelling) :(

I don't think it can be another Maddie because no one knows what the hell happened there IYKWIM. Unless you mean in the sense she may never be found & we'll never know...

...and i think the police are thinking they are looking for a body :( It pains me to write that but why search under paving stones.

I don't think theyl find her dead or alive :( how long will it be before they call it a day or is there no time frame?

How can the media exaggerate so much with such a sensitive case. Digging up paving stones was actually an officer lifting a slab to peer underneath. A slab like we'd have on the garden. Unless there's been something else similar. I saw him doing it on sky news.

I can't even think the worst, this little girl will come home :hugs:

but that may not be the same part as what you saw? They may have been looking underneath like that originally but then doing an extensive search. Just a thought!

Me too. They lifted them easily with their hands.

I don't know how true this is and i dont know whether I should of shared it here or not, but a facebook friend had commented on someones status on facebook which read "have just seen this on another website, and thought that people should see it;One of my best friends children were out playing on Sunday at 4pm in Minera, North Wales approximately an hour away from Mach, when they were approached by a blue left hand drive landrover discovery with a man AND a woman and asked if they wanted a lift as it was raining. The children who are 11 and 7 said no and the woman then got of the car and opened the back door and told them to get in. They hurried away. North Wales police were useless and did not take this seriously but the Dyfed Powys Incident room were fabulous and my friend's children are likely now to be interviewed."

This is very scary! Lets hope they are looking into it! Thank god they didn't get in the car.

In a press release yesterday I'm sure the police said something along the lines of there is no connection to any other attempted abduction maybe it's that one they were talking about

I hope so too but as the days go on its seeming less likely. I think I remember reading once something like 85% of missing people are found in the first week or 2...so you can imagine it doesnt look so good after that

Kitty, irrelevant really because people can just like camo clothes or they might find it more suitable etc, but just wanted to point out that spokesman for the MOD said he has never been in the armed forces

Yeah, I saw that too. Which kinda made me think he had perhaps made this up to locals, giving it the big "I AM" you know? In which case he would probably be MORE likely to wear camo to help back it up or perhaps he is fanatical?? I dunno. Just trying to help people see that as bad as it looks, if you break it down, it doesn't straight point the finger at him and make him even more a suspect for being found that way.

Definitely not trying to say he isn't guilty, I think that they MUST have something pretty damning on him to have released his name and pic to early on and to keep being granted extensions. The police will definitely know a huge amount more than they share with us. I know I keep using it as an example but it was near on a week before they arrested Chris in the Sian case, and only released the description of his car a few hrs before that. But afterwards the police said they were on to him (FromCCTV footage showing him pass her and double back) from a day or so into searching and had had him in for questioning. Just to get all you need to act and to charge for the offence you believe they have committed (Redhead, I could be wrong but isn't it easier to wait, get extensions and charge the full whack if you believe they have done more, than to just charge for a lesser crime and THEN have to add on charges when more come to light) it can take time. Of course though, at away in, despite them having leads and having him on their radar and following up on that, collecting evidence, we were none the wiser despite following the case as closely as we could. Searches still took pace, press conferences happened with no mention. Doing so could have hindered their efforts to find her xx

That's what I meant when I said about something similar happening - I know it could have been something they didn't show on the news.

I would take it with a pinch of salt, a fb freind commented on someone else's status, which was about someone else...probably a status doing the rounds so to speak

If it were true there is no way the police would not have taken it seriously, regardless of April being taken, it would still have been a serious matter. Also if it did happen, we are now 3 days in, they would have interviewed the children involved already

Social networking has its place in spreading the word when things need to be put out there, sadly they are also a breeding ground for trolls and attention seekers

Now I am not saying this isn't true, just that I would be incredibly dubious

:hugs: Kitty this must be hard for you.

How are you all feeling today girls, I know a lot of us were emotional yesterday? ANd have your gut feelings changed?

I know some people dont like speculation but honestly this thread has really helped me in the last few days, being able to share my worries, theories, worst fears etc with girls who arent laughing nor saying well you dont even know her.

My feelings havent changed per se but I do have a little ounce of worry that there may be someone guilty out there

If granted another extention which will take it to the max amount of time aloud to hold the suspect it will take it to 3pm saturday they will then have to decide wether to charge or realease, so they will definitely keep searching till then unless they find her ofcourse.

:hugs: Desperately sad that they haven't found anything yet and still holding onto hope. There's alot more to this than any of us know and it's frustrating. How are you? x
