five year old missing!!

Call me totally ditzy maybe its wrote wrong but its a quote so you'd think it would be accurate?

The full charges read to Bridger were: "First charge, on the*30th of September 2012, and 3rd October 2012, at Machynlleth, you murdered April Sue Lyn Jones, contrary to common law.

How can they say on the 30th AND 3rd she can't have been murdered twice? And how do they know the exact day of which he murdered her unless he's confessed? I don't like reading into this kind of stuff you reach a million and one different conclussions but what they've quoted doesn't make any sense?

And I agree the ones that don't show emotion seem more guilty to me though I suppose everyone deals with the situation differently.

I believe that is a typo and should actually read "between the 30th September 2012 and 3rd October 2012" as that is what the other charges state also.

And he was arrested on the 2nd

I thought she was taken the 1st but thought maybe I'd got my dates mixed up if they're the dates they were charging him with

I understand people wanting to express their hatred of him, but I really think the police should have kept the public away from the magistrates courts as throwing things could have ended up hurting someone else :nope:

And they did it at a time where people would be coming back home from the school run! So obviously there's going to be quite a few people around. I think the police could have thought this through a bit better.

Just glad no one got hurt when things were thrown x

Oh yeah. Spose they probably meant the 1st October  Wouldn't think too much of it xx

I think its in cases like this, when they are not sure of the exact dates to give an approximate time frame so that when it does come to court it cannot be thrown out on an innacuracy (sp) I could be totally wrong though!

I'm beginning to wonder if he didn't mean to kill her and something happened (like with her medical conditions). That's why he's upset. It's all speculation though.

Interesting theory actually.
I doubt we'll ever know the full story

I suppose because of crim classes, I've been encouraged to explore all angles to a situation.

It fits with his court reaction,
Or is it normal for child murderers to feel remorse?

xx

My mum's local garage is doing a run over tomorrow with food and drinks for the searchers, so I've dug out a bag of teabags, some coffee sachets and some of those heinz squeeze n stir cup a soup things.

Feel like I should be doing more :nope:

Found an extra box of tea bags so they can have them too, will be dropping them off tonight on the way to mum's.

I have to say I really admire all the local communities (and those further afield) who have pulled together and made sure the searchers have food and drink, it really does restore a bit of faith in the human race

That's really good of you Emmy, I'm sure they will really appreciate it.
Can't remember who said it now sorry but I have felt all along that he didn't mean for it to go that far as well but whatever the reason it did. That's why I didn't understand why he took her infront of her friend that could have easily identified his car. He would never have got away with it so it makes sense he didn't intend to. If I hadn't of done something terrible and was being charged, I couldn't help but shout out that I didn't do it!
Of course all speculation but that's the way I see it. I just hope her family know soon xx

Thanks ladies :hugs:

Starting to get really sick now of people blaming the parents! Still getting it on facebook, it's absolutely crazy!

Haven't read back through previous posts yet, but just wanted to say how shocked I am after reading he cried in court. I think we all thought he was refusing to tell them where he had hidden April, but to do that I don't think you'd then cry in court. Unless it was an act of course. Makes me wonder if he HAS told them what he did with her, but by now she has moved on & they can't find her :(

I agree, they don't usually show remorse, they usually stare blankly at the floor or something.

Maybe he was angry, something cracked in his head, saw April and took her but then didn't know what to do with her! I dunno maybe were giving him too much benefit of doubt but i think it was something that went wrong!

Or maybe him actually going to court & it being all read out to him made it 'sink in' and he realised, oh shit, I've actually got caught. I'll never see my kids again, my kids will know I'm a murderer etc. Who knows.
