five year old missing!!

Since he's been arrested, it's never added up to me! I don't get why he would be so open about it, and now I am leaning toward the 'going to far' option. I don't think he meant I kill her. Non the less, he took her, she is dead and still hasn't been found.
I hope the other prisoners get him and kill him!

I don't agree with that at all. First of all, the other prisoners won't get him, as he will be in segregation. Second of all, they are trying to help people in prisons to rehabilitate and lead somewhat of a normal life, not help them kill more people. Thirdly, you can't imagine how much that can affect people who work in prisons :nope: Prison is there and the death penalty is not, and there's a reason for that. I agree he's a monster but death is the easy way out..

I used to think rehabillitation would be good but not for crimes of this kind. He is a danger to the public and dont believe that if you take someones life, especially a child that this should ever be an option. He knew the rules and broke them. He doesnt deserve a place in society now..black and white. I think he should be locked away until he dies. Prison should mean prison and life should mean for life. Thats whats wrong with society...the sofly softly approach [ not you but others] which doesnt work for most criminals..its a get out and equally serves the government with costs of maintaining criminals in prison.

Apparently the shops in town that sell helium balloons have sold out of pink ones. We've got the last 5 to let go.

Would anyone find it distasteful if I shared a couple of pictures with you later on of us letting them go?

Think that would be lovely Emmy :flower:
Can I just make sure that Aprils parents have requested candles to be lit? I know it states that in the link I posted but I want to be positive it's at her families request xx

I'm sure it is at their request because a lot of the rugby clubs etc are arranging for balloons to be sent off, so we're going up to the local football club at 19.00 to join the others.

What I'll do is put the pictures in a spoiler so if people don't want to see them, they have the choice not to look xx

Apparently he cried in court. Is that supposed to make us feel sorry for him? Epic fail if so.

Sorry Emmy, I agree with the balloons but can you confirm we are to light candles at 7? Xx

Yes I absolutely agree, I was talking about the other prisoners who have a chance at rehabiliation who shouldn't be coerced into killing another inmate because someone has decided to "leak" another prisoner's crime.

Yes hun, I've just asked mum and she said it was at the request of April's mum :hugs:

Mum's tied 2 of the balloons to the railings outside her house and she's put up a sparkly christmas decoration light thing in her window too (she can't light proper candles as she's on oxygen at times).

I just had a thought, and I really hope nobody thinks that I am, but I just suddenly thought that it might seem like I'm showing off with what we're doing - really hope it doesn't come across that way :hugs:

Just seen this link. not sure if its already been said as i not updated myself with this thread properly yet. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-19867915

says he was charged with preventing the course of justice and then it says:

The latter charge refers to the unlawful disposal and concealment of a body.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over whether he actually cried too ...

Some are saying that he was on the verge of tears and others are saying that he was sobbing

I think the course of justice thing must mean that they have sufficient evidence that he moved her body  I hope I'm wrong, I really do xx

Yes I wondered what that means as they have no body... I wonder if he has told them he put her in the river. I'm starting to think he might have confessed to everything! how can they be so sure otherwise?

that was my thinking as im pretty sure there are a few different acts that come under this charge and for them to actually say one.. unless its inaccurate ?

All this speculation is so agonising isn't it! Her parents must be going out of their minds. He did seem to be dressed for the part so to speak :/camouflage and waterproof trousers xx

Jem I thought similar, my theory is (warning graphic)

that something happened at the parents evening that and that it was sorta of the straw that broke the camels back. He then flipped (driving eratically), saw April and the moment too over for some awful things, then the next thing he knows there is national if not international media coverage, panics and murders her :(

Obviously just speculation though.

For those that arent convinced they had their man; it is very rare to press charges for murder without having found the person, it is practically unheard of with a child. They must have some pretty strong forensic evidence, IMO.

Those of you worried about the shoe throwing etc. On Wednesday he wont be going to the crown court instead it will be video link, much safer

admiral, I agree but it could be that he was looking for April, so pretty suitable clothing considering it was very wet.

I too thought he had maybe admitted to everything and must have told them he had put her in the river and they were just trying to find her in there now but on the news before they said the police will stopping cars tonight and asking people if they had anymore info on Bridgers whereabouts last monday night to jog peoples memories. So if he had told them everything why would they still be trying to piece together his whereabouts? Confusing!

I can't spoil as on my phone sorry if it affends anyone IMO they have evidence of her being killed in his house but as the body isn't there he is being charged for the disposal and as he isn't telling anyone where she he is also concealing the whereabouts of the body

I hate thinking like this cos I'm still hoping she is still alive somewhere
