Hi ladies,
I've two questions for you today. The first one is how do you know how much food to give your lo? My lo is nearly 5months 2wks and has been having solids since just after 4months, I've been giving him 1/3 of a jar of baby food for breakfast and dinner, he always finishes what i give. So I thought today I would just see if he would let me know he had enough and he just ate it all and been sick.
So what do I do? Just keep giving him what I have been or give him more? I don't want him to be going hungry and I don't want to give him so much so that he gets sick.

Next question is about sippy cups. Which one is the best? Do you give your lo water in a sippy cup with every meal? Can they hold the cup and drink from it themselves or do you hold it for them?
He can get a wee bit for himself but he hasn't quite mastered it and then gets annoyed with himself.

You could increase his food to half a jar and see how he gets on but just watch that he doesnt start dropping bottles. At his age food should take a back seat to milk at all times. I offered water with every meal from 6ish months and it took a while for him to master it but once he did he was great. In the early days i did give him a little help and held it occasionally but at this stage water isnt a neccessity as he will be getting plenty of fluids from his milk. It is good if you can have him using it by summer though when it gets warm as he will probably need more water by then.
