I'm so excited! We see family again next month and while I dread the drive I am stoked because we all have plans to go watch The Hobbit and Into the Woods. Eek!
Nothing really exciting here. DH left again today. L had a meltdown as soon as he was out the door.

Hi ladies. Sorry I have been gone so long. I have been sick and Sophia is STILL sick! We have taken her to the doc twice. And both times they say her lungs are clear and everything is fine and the second we leave, she gets congested again. My daughters still have a little bit of this cold! It is a nasty one! This is the first time Sophia has ever gotten sick. It took almost 18 months for her to get sick, even though my daughters have gotten sick. But it really hit her hard! She is still more active than ever. Still more temperamental then ever. lol. Don't ask me how, but she gained 1 lb in 5 days, even while sick. I was so scared the doc would criticize her weight. And they measured her at 36.5 inches! lol. They measured her standing so it wasn't accurate, but she has grown an inch, up to 35! Don't know how they messed up measuring her. I was scared they would say she has a pituitary problem, but I went home and measure her and the nurse over measured her by 1.5 inches. And the doc was talking to her like she understood. She tells Sophie, "Can you please breathe in deep while I check your lungs." And she was waiting for her to do so and looked puzzled. I informed her that she isn't 18 months yet and she apologized. hehe. Oh and the doc and nurse reassured me that she is in no way obese and actually quite lean. So that made me feel much better.

So, I haven't mentioned this yet, but so much has been going on. Did I mention that there has been a boy in Natalie's class that has been teasing and bothering her since the 1st day of school. And all of the complaining to the teacher and countless talks and this kid still won't leave Natalie alone. He is always up in her face annoying her, following her, getting in her business, making fun of her. And he is specifically targeting her. And even other kids have stuck up for her and told him to stop, and his answer is, "you're not the boss of me!". This little kid really pisses me off. He is much taller and bigger than Natalie and is a bully. And get this, he learned it from his mother. She treats him like crap in front of everybody at school. This lady actually screams and yells at him in front of everybody and I just found out that she is on parole!! I have been avoiding talking to her because I heard that she is nuts!. My husband went straight to the principals office and told her next time this happens he wants a conference with this boy and his mother. The lead pastor of the church which is my older daughters teacher had custody of this boy, his name is Logan. His mother just got back custody of him. Ladies this school is really screwed up. I can't even go into a lot of details, but the school has so many problems. I am already looking to transfer both my daughters. The leadership almost acts cult like and my dh has seen this kind of stuff before so he really wants to get them out. He is looking to get them out as soon as possible. Some girls have been telling Natalie that she is "big" and now she thinks she is fat and is scared to weigh herself and is self conscious about her body. Of course I keep telling her she is beautiful and to not pay attention to them and we have told the teacher about how cruel some of these kids are. Natalie goes to another Christian school twice a week in the evenings and Sunday school and none of this kids behave like this so I am looking into having her go there. The tuition is just so so expensive. Its going to be hard. See, I know that everywhere you go, kids are like this, but this school is just problem after problem. My older daughter has half the girls in the school not liking her for the stupidest reasons. Like one day she might have dressed similar to another girl and they decide to hate her for reasons like that. And the then the crowd follows that one girl and turn against her. So she has very few friends there. I have seen her try and be nice to these kids and they are just jerks!

In other news. Alyssa has been getting straight A's this whole year!! Natalie is doing excellent as well. But I don't like the judgmental attitude here. Like the lead pastor has the nerve to say that he knows why people are gay? That he knows the answer as to why people are gay. What is he? God? And they like to repeatedly say who will and who will not go to hell. They obviously didn't learn Jesus' example did they. Well, I can go on and on. But its only going to upset me more.

Life has been so so busy but I do check in here as often ad I can and I am trying to keep up with Amy and Leslie's journals. I always think about all of you. And I wish I could get on here more often. I hope all of you are having a great December! And getting ready for Christmas!

Laura, I hope and pray that you and especially Simon are feeling better. I know you must be very busy with him. Thank you again so much for the advice on the acid reflux medicine. How is Simon doing these days? How is his physical therapy going? Anything new with him. How are you and your oh? Do you have any special plans for Christmas. I can imagine with your huge family that there is plenty do for Christmas. Does Simon like stuffed animals? What kind of toys does he like? He is 18 months now! How quick time flies!

Angel, hope you and Pierce are doing great. Have you talked to your dh about ttc for #2? Maybe he will have a change of heart. You are still young hon! Many in their late 30s and even early 40s are having kids here in the Bay Area. But it all depends on how you feel. And you say you feel young! Is Pierce getting into everything now? I bet he is all over the place. Are you done spoiling him for this Christmas? Did you take advantage of cyber Monday? Is cyber Monday a new thing because I notice they are making a bigger deal about cyber Monday this year and they stores were not as full because people were waiting for better deals on cyber Monday. Did you find any great deals?

Hi Bethany. So sorry that your dh has to leave again. How heartbreaking for you and little lorelei. These trips are getting harder for her because she is probably getting more attached to her daddy as she gets older. Do you know how long your husband is going to continue? I remember you were going to move out of the country (Thailand I believe) eventually. Is that still in your plans? Are you going to see your family for Christmas?

How awfull it's still happening.
I was bullied in School at age 12
I liked same boy as another girl so she started on me
I used to go home crying
I confronted her, not physically but verbally
It didn't go away right away but died out after that
I think it was less fun for her after I confronted her
And then completely ignored her.
Just blanking her when she approached seemed to work best.
When she couldn't provoke me anymore, it petered out.
Not sire if would work in your case but it's worth a try.

Poor Natalie getting picked on by another kid! Shame on the school for NOT reacting! I hope you guys are able to find another school for the girls and the transition is easy! I'm glad Alyssa is able to keep her grades up despite the "mean girls!" Soph sounds wonderful, sorry she hasn't been feeling well. Have the meds increased her appetite? Does she still take rice in a bottle? My gf just broke her 18 month old from the bottle...she actually let her throw it in the ocean and watch it drift off! Ha!

Laura ~ You'll get the best deals on things the day after Christmas, so a belated pay day could save you a lot on delayed Christmas gifts! I told my sister we should celebrate on the 27th My attempt at getting really good deals!

Bethany ~ Bummer about your DH having to leave again...hard to time #2 when they are in and out! Pierce walks around with pictures of his Daddy and kisses it when he is away.

OH and the thought of ttc #2 scares me! I like Pierce's independence because it gives me a moment to do things like fold laundry or cook dinner...how do people do it with 2 LO's? Seems like a lot of work? Lucky Leslie gets 2 for 1, all the hard work of year one as a package deal! Lol! That's the way to go!

Exactly Jess, I love to save where I can...it justifies my personal splurges

So I'm doing this ab squat 30 day challenge...can I tell you how much I hate squats!?! Tomorrow is day 8= 60 squats-30 sit ups-40 crunches. On day 4 my DH "corrected" my squat technique (why does he have to be such a fitness guru!) and I haven't been able to walk since! Ouch! "Ass to the grass," <~~my gf's phrase. The next 30 day challenge I should enlist you ladies to join in...share in my torture!
