yeah - it seems like everyones dropping babies.
I quit facebook 'cos all my friends had scan pics as their avatars!
One of our friends had her coil taken out last month now her girl is over 1 year old.
Bet you anything she's gone and done it straight away.
I can't face checking online and I don't want to see them or talk to them - I just KNOW they'll have got pg straight away again :hissy:

eugh.

So... who's got some good news? you get your exam results back yet?
What's next for everyone?
bfp testing dates?
medical testing dates?

I'm gonna do a super-early POAS on 10dpo - Thursday - 'cos I can't help myself...

No test results yet but hopefully tomorrow, I am waiting on Ov. I know how you feel an old friend of mine who just got married messages me and says I think my wifes knocked up. Well you can imagine my response. I just hope she isn't as they weren't counting on having kids for a bit anyway. I couldn't deal with it.

Dh and I have our phycologist apt for the clinic on the 17th it's mandatory so it will be nice to have that over with.

Understand the preggo friend thing - mine are dropping like flys... except the single ones (and they hate talking about babies - which is a relief).

Good news - Monday is almost over!!!!

Me in the TWW. Want to POAS now... but 19th ... maybe 15th lol.. hmmm..

Next appointment on the 17th of December with FS. Though already know HSG results so want to discuss IVF. I'm not a very patient person....

Hope everyone has survived Monday ok.

Oh and I did a bad thing and had a beer... feel a tad guilty. No excuse really - it was just hot.

Aw don't worry - one beer won't hurt - I'm sure!

And as for monday being over - its 10:30am here and I've got a day of debt chasing ahead of me - boooo.

Kelly - what's this about a psych consult? we don't get any of that over here....?

Winks - your appointment is just a week after mine - feels like ages to wait though!

MWAHHAHAHAHA - just been on facebook and my ex-workmate / friend who we don't see anymore isn't PG!

oh dear - how bad is that!
I'm actually pleased to see the post that she was having wine a few weeks ago.

OK - got to start being all serene and happy for those with babies -
Its strange... its like I want everything to STOP 'till I'm PG and THEN I'll be happy for everyone else.
:loopy:

Hi guys, sorry not had chance to come on here for a few days. Well I got completely confused last week with the ov sticks. I started getting a faint line, which progressed over a couple of days to a bit darker, then lighter and then completely gone. So I kind of presumed that I might have missed the peak and I must have been nearest to ov when the line was at its darkest, but not sure if thats how it works. BUT my CM was really dry right up until the lines went faint again, then it got thinner and wetter. So if I was going on CM then that would indicate OV was later. GGGGRRRRRRRR. Its all so confusing. Either way we BDed plenty but I'm just worried that I'm OVing when my CM is the wrong texture.

Oh and yeah I'm with you all on the friends and pregnancy things. I've had six friends become pregnant and have babies since we started trying. And another friend is getting married in a couple of months and plans to try straight away and even though its bad I'm scared of still not being pregnant when she is, as I've had to experience it happen to so many other friends.

Got FS in about four weeks so thats something to look forward to. Hope you're all ok. xx

I am the same way I want to be PG and then will be happy for everyone else. Time time time needs to go by faster! And yes we get a phycologist appoitment to make sure we can handle the whole ethical side of IVF.

Kelly interested in the pre-IVF appointment. Could you let me know what it's like when you've had it?

yay for the tww winks :dust:
caz sorry they wouldn't give you your results over the phone, I do understand though - unfortunately the people on the phones aren't qualified to give out results - it could cause huge problems if they did!

totally agree with you re: all the first month trying, I'm avoiding bnb more and more because I just can't bring myself to browse through all those posts. all the excitement of gearing up to ovulation, the tww, symptoms spotting, I can't relate to any of it at the moment

oh hun - we'll a few ladies have talked about starting The Fed Up Club - maybe its 'cos xmas is on the way and the end of the year...

ooh - but I do have some semi-exciting news...
I called the NHS Direct helpline and they put me on to the PALS office at the hospital
(patient advice and liaison service or something)
they then got in touch with all the departments and told me we couldn't have our results 'cos they didn't want to give us half the story till we saw the FS.

But.... I got a call from the FS secretary yesterday and she said it's cos it took ages for them to get the S/A results (6 weeks!) but now they're in she can let the FS see them and then put copies of that and the bloods in the post for us :wohoo:

I wonder if they lost the S/A results! but it doesn't matter - we'll get them soon !!!
hahaha - I was a 'squeaky wheel' and it worked!

Yay cazd and mrs N I hear you! Well not about not o'ing every month but I am going to be o'ing late again!!! ARG! I also related to the so many posts trying to find time to read them all is hard.

SOrry winks forgot to answer your question! It's different everywhere but we had a repeat SA some more bloods for DH and I had an abdominal and trans vaginal ultrasound and we had a consult with the IVF/ICSI doctor. We are now gearing up to do our phycologist (mandatory) consult then we're done everything extra that needs to be done.

yay caz, won't be long til you get some results then! :happydance:

As soon as I get them I'll let you guys know so I can get some help with interpretation!

Mrs N... looking at your charts... Ov time is coming up! Good Luck!!

Hi ladies, I just wanted your opinion on something. Would you recommend charting temps?? I haven't ever got into it as I didn't want TTC to become too 'technical' but it's the only thing we haven't tried and I'm wondering if it would be worth it. For those of you who do it how useful do you find it and would you recommend doing it?

One of the reasons I never thought it was essential for us is that we BD regularly anyway  not just for TTC, so I know of thought it wasn't THAT important to have OV confirmed. However, I tried OV tests this cycle and didn't manage to get a positive (think I messed up with the testing times) and wondered whether temping as well would help me interpret things better. Would be interested in your thoughts as I'm  xx

peekaboo temping is defiately the best thing we've done in terms of ttc. Had I not temped I would have no idea that I don't regualry ov, and I would have been through some serious stressing wondering whether af was coming, was my period late etc etc etc. The results have not been what I would have wished for, but I'm so glad I know!
You could try it for a cycle or two, and if it confirms that you do ov when you think you ov, ie it coincides with other signs etc, then you could stop if you wanted to.
thanks caz, fingers crossed!

Thanks Mrs N, its useful to get some info about it. I will have a think about trying it for next cycle. x

I like temping although I am getting tired of getting up at the same early time every morning then having to fall back asleep! It is helpful though, I was able to tell that my cycles are normal if not a bit longer then the typical 28 days.

Peekaboo - I LOVE Temping!!!

I've even got a spreadsheet chart with all of this years temps!

I love that it shows me when I've Ovd and although I hate it - the temp drop softens the blow 'cos I know the :witch: is on her way...

I take my temp when my alarm goes off at 7am so its pretty consistent.
I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!
