oh shlindz - that's such awful news - hope you're OK.
but what a lovely idea to build up a baby box. I'd love to do that but I think month after month it'd just make me sad.
My little Ptarmi will have to do for now!

So - how're you feeling about the drugs?

I think I paid about $35 for 5 50mg Brand name Clomid pills at Walmart. The military doesn't pay for my prescription because I'm only a reservist. And my health insurance doesn't cover it because it is a fertility medication. I did however get a little discount because my husband works for Walmart as well, so I got 10% off.
I'm not looking forward to taking any more medication, but I'll do what I have to. I'm really not looking forward to more Provera if the doc prescribes that on wednesday. So far the metformin doesn't sound too bad, but I would like to do the gradual dosage method and increase it little by little. I'm pretty much in a wait and see what the doc says place. Stuck here not knowing until Wednesday. Ugh! 2 more days. Maybe a little baby shopping will tide me over. *wink wink*

LoL...shopping is therapeutic but baby shopping is even better. I would definitely bring your concerns over the medications to your doctor's attention and let him/her know. I think they should switch it if you're having too many side effects or if you don't like it. I mean it's definitely worth it for that :bfp: but you also need to be able to function in your day-to-day life at work, etc. Sometimes I hate taking all the medication myself...I sometimes want to get off it completely and let my cycle figure it out but that might take way too long and I'm soooo impatient!!

cazd, it's nice seeing you back. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I'm sorry about the tough month you had...fx for this month for you sweets!

Ya sometimes I wish I could just hand over the medications to DH and just say here it's your turn. lol But then I think of a poopy smelly baby and I know thats truly when it's his turn. Hahahahaha

I'm so excited Tysonme, only a little longer before you test. I'v been stalking your chart almost daily. What beautiful temperatures you have my dear. *Wow does that sound like the big bad wolf* lol

Cazd :hugs: how are you feeling this month? You got that bounce back into your step yet?

One more day and I'm back in the Doc's office to find out the treatment plan for the next cycle. Fingers crossed for good news.

Hi i have doctors appointment wed, was wondering if you could tell me what to expect on my first appointment sorry to jump in but really confusedand a little nervous thanks xxx

I caved and tested yesterday and :bfn: but it's still way too early...had some odd cramping last night on both sides and a little this morning...maybe implantation cramping?

c. holdway...what kind of appointment do you have? RE or gyn? And what is it for?

well have just made an appointment to see doctors just to see if we can have some tests maybe?

How long have you been trying? What exactly is the problem? I would expect they might do some blood tests. I had trouble with AF...she never came. They gave me some progesterone to kick start it and I would get AF but not on my own. I was just prescribed Clomid and have finally ovulated this cycle. I have been trying since June 2009.

well everything seems ok i no i am ovulating as i can feel it, but have been trying 7 months and nothing has come of it i no its nt really long but i fell straight away with previous pregnancys and they were with my ex partner so just thought i would speak to doc see if they can just check DH x

I see...I don't know what the protocol is in the UK. Perhaps some of the other ladies might be bale to provide some insight.

Good Golly look at those temps Tysonme. They just keep rising higher and higher
It's so close to testing time :happydance:just ignore that :bfn: and think happy happy :bfp: thoughts!

C. Holdway it really depends on what kind of appointment your going to. If you are looking to get DH tested then tell them right of the bat that you want him to have a semen analysis. The doctor will then send DH for the test or refer you to another doctor who will send DH for the test. However, I really don't know a whole lot about the UK. I had a fairly easy time in here in Canada. When DH and I first started actively trying I went to my family doctor and told him I wanted to get pregnant. Since he knew about my irregular cycles already he referred me to a fertility centre right away instead of making me wait the standard year of tttc. The fertility centre took about 2 months to book an appointment because they are so busy there. When I finally got my first appointment I wasn't dissapointed. Right away the doctor sent DH for a semen analysis and prescribed me a progesterone to kick start my cycle. I also got my first round of Clomid that cycle. As well I had to come back regularly for them to check my hormone levels in my blood and do scans of my follicles. They also sent me for an HSG (dye test). It was one busy cycle thats for sure! Unfortunatly I didn't ovulate last cycle so they cancelled the cycle and I go in today to find out what the next course of action is. This is when the doctor is going to tell me officially that I have PCOS. I'm realy not looking forward to hearing those words come out of his mouth. I just really hope I don't start crying. Best of luck on your appointment Holdway

shlindz, today is the day! I'm holding out for Friday...trying really hard but it's so tempting to test! I love your new sgnature by the way. My brother is a US Marine and I am very proud of him and all of our soldiers (and you too)!! I know it will be hard to hear those words, but do not lose hope. I think with a little help for the doctor you'll get your BFP in no time. I will be looking forward to your update, and am really hoping everything goes well for you at the FC. :hugs:

Hey sorry to make you wait so long for the update, but here goes.

First of all DH is all good! YAY! His semen analysis came back normal with like 75 million swimmers at 60% motility.
We got the good news outta the way first. Bad news was he said the words. Well the letters lol. It was a total slow motion minute "P*C*O*S". I didn't start crying though so I'm pretty proud of myself. Atleast he didn't sit there and explain it to me. I had to cut him off and just say I already know what it is and how it works so that I didn't start crying. I guess he could see that so he didn't push the subject. He moved straight on to treatment. This cycle is my official treatment cycle. I'm on Provera again for 7 days to bring on the :witch:. I also started Metphormin. I'm taking it in the evening to try and reduce side affects. I'm hoping it works. I'v heard this stuff is pretty bad for side affects. So far all I feel is sick. Like I have a cold or something. Maybe I do? lol But about 2 hours after taking it last night I got all stuffed up. I chalked it up to allergies. Then I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I'm not sure if these would be side affects though. Atleast the doc gave me a gradual dose. He said the brand of metphormin is a slow release one so that should lessen the side affects. Also he said to only take 2 pills a day for the first little while and then take 3 when I'm feeling "used" to it. You should see these things, they look like horse pills lol. Fingers crossed I don't react too badly to them. I have a break from Army training until next weekend so it gives me just over a week to get used to them. Also gives me that week of hell taking the provera. I might speed up the process and take a hormone supplement as well. There's this stuff called FemMed Hormonal Balance, it's a natural supplement with saw palmetto, vitex, milk thistle, red raspberry, etc... (all the good hormone stuff). Everytime I take this supplement I get my period after 5 days. Not sure if it'll react with any of the other meds. I'm deffinatly gonna do the research first. :comp:
The doc seemed pretty sure about this cycle. He practically promised I'd be pregnant this cycle, just without using the words "I promise" lol

So...Did you sneak in a test today? :winkwink: Or is friday still test day? EEeeeeekkkkkkk!!!!!! Can't wait to do my Happy dance :happydance: for you!

That's good news shlindz...I'm so happy for you!! Now, is the metformin going to help you ovulate or will you still be taking Clomid?

I did sneak a test in today...got a faint line this morning on an IC and used the same wee to do a FRER. It came up IRL very quickly and I didn't have to squint or hold the stick sideways with a flashlight or anything!! Very open to your opinion!!

OMG Tysonme I wish I could see that stick in person. The computer sucks for looking at lines. I believe you though. I'm so giddy!!!!! I can't wait to see a nice dark :bfp: soon!!!!! YAYAYAY!!!!!

So I officially feel like CRAP! I'm all groggy headed and my sinuses are all stuffy, but my nose keeps on running. I can't get warm to save my life. UGH! I really really hope this is a cold and not the meds. I'm not sure how the metformin works yet, but yes I do have to Clomid with it. I forgot to mention that part. The doc is putting me on 100mg of Clomid instead of 50mg. He is very certain it will make my follies grow.

Now back to staring at your stick pic. lol :hugs:

P.S. are you gonna sneak in another test tonight? I'm dying to see!!!!

I hope those side effects ease up for you soon!! I am so hopeful for you this cycle...well next cycle as soon as this cycle ends!! One side effect that I'm not quite sure was from Clomid or maybe pollen but I got a sore throat and runny nose too. I didn't know if I was getting sick or if it was the Clomid.

I'll do another IC tonight...I get home late and need to pack for tomorrow so I might not be able to post the piccie until tomorrow morning...but then I'll do another FRER tomorrow morning. My friend wants me to do a digital but I don't know if it'll be too early for that.

YAY! I can't wait. And yes you have to do a digital, but I'd wait a little longer for that one.
I took some cold/allergy medicine and now I'm feeling a little better. This is just medication day 1...can't wait to add Clomid to the mix. Oh Boy!
*Note the sarcasm* lol
