SOrry shlidz I put it in my journal I am a part of many threads on BnB and it would have taken me forever to post it! But yes BOY for us!

I hope your cycle looks better tomorrow but hey it's only a month! Wait will you take the provera if its a bust? Then it could be shorter! I really hope the clomid sorts you out!

Yeah, I can see both sides. On the plus side, at least you know if you ovulated and they can make changes to your dosage for the next cycle accordingly. On the minus, you may not have a definitive answer if you ovulated and you are kept on the same dosage until your refills run out! :dohh:

hi girls hope you dont mind me adding some comments i was diagnosed with pcos when i was 17 (im now 27) so i have some knowledge, you LH levels are supposed to be continously high if you have pcos or so i believe which is why the ovulation tests never work for me!!! were also having probs from my husbands side as he has just had a vasectomy reversal, he has to go and have a SA next month so im keeping my fingers crossed x

Hey Nichub, welcome to the thread :)
You're right about the LH levels. I just found out about that last Dr appointment.

So the last scan didn't go so well and this cycle is cancelled. Also found out I have PCOS that same appointment. Not exactly news I was excited to hear. Not sure what they are gonna do with my meds now ladies. I haven't looked into what meds work for PCOS. PMA is as low as my progestrone levels right now. OK corny joke I know :P Won't know much until March 3rd. That's my next appointment. Not sure if I wanna take the provera to start the next cycle sooner or not. DH wants me to, but I'm a little on the fence. I hated how the provera made me feel. We'll also find out the results of DH's SA on the 3rd. Fingers crossed things are all good in his department and we've only got one reproductivly challenged individual in the relationship lol.
So on a happier note, I came to a random decision to start buying baby stuff everytime I need a pick me up. I was in Shoppers Drug mart today and they had the ear thermometres wich are normally $75 plus dollars on for $30. So I asked myself if I should buy it. I know we'll want one when we have a baby, so why not buy it now while its cheap. DH said go with my gut. So I bought it. I can always use it as a shower gift or something later I told myself. Once I got home I stared at for a long while and just thought of how good it made me feel to have a "baby item" in the house. And how much money I saved. Sorry I'm a frugal shopper lol. So DH and I came to the decision to start a box of baby items. Just stuff we see that we really really like, or stuff thats on for a good price, etc... It really boosted the pma in the house today. Hopefully it'll keep our spirits up good and high for this coming cycle :)

:hugs: Shlindz...I'm sorry the doctor's didn't go so well. Keep your chin up though...there are plenty of ladies on here with PCOS who have gotten pregnant. I think starting a baby box is a good idea!! I think you'll be using that stuff sooner than you think. How does the Provera make you feel? I take Prometrium which is supposedly more natural and I love it. I take it at bedtime and it knocks me out cold and I sleep hard. I hope you get some answers at your next appt and the time flies by.

So sorry about the pcos! I hope your DH's sperms are super swimmers to help out! Will they up your dose of clomid? That sounds like a logical step to me.

Hey shlindz thanks for reply, keep positive, there's loads they can do for pcos, i didn't have a cycle for 7 years and now i'm fairly regular due to meds! X

Thnx for the shared pma gals :)
Tysonme- The provera makes me feel icky. That's like the best way to describe it. It's not when I'm taking it, but after before AF. For like a week before AF actually showed I was all icky and bloaty and just all around feeling pretty shippy. But maybe that's how AF is supposed to make you feel lol, I wouldn't know. I'm going to ask about Prometrium though.

Kelly-They mentioned upping the dose for the next cycle. Probably to 100mg instead of 50mg. They will probably change the days too. I was 4-8 last time. Something a little sooner might help my follies grow.

Nichub- What meds are you taking to help your cycle? How do they affect you? I find that I get side affects really easily.

Shlindz...I'm very hopeful for you in March...I hope they get you sorted out. I've read here and other places that some of the PCOS ladies are on metformin, but I have no clue what that is. Might be worth googling to see if it can help. At any rate, I'm really happy that you're getting monitored as the doctors can make necessary adjustments! It is definitely worth it.

I got a smiley on CB Digi OPK last night (in my journal) and I'm super excited. This is my very first ovulation and I know I'm getting my hopes up really high, but I don't care....I cannot help it.

Oh Goodie! :wohoo:
Congrats Tysonme! I know how excited you are. I felt the same way when I thought I O'd for the first time. Just because I didn't keep up my end of the deal doesn't mean I'm letting you off the hook for a :bfp: this cycle :)
I'm gonna be so anxious during your 2ww. It'll feel like my own. lmao
Gonna check out metformin too. I'v heard of it here and there as well, but never did much research on it.

Thanks shlindz...this is going to be the longest two weeks ever...even though I plan on testing as early as I possibly can...I can't help it!! We can still be March 3rd buddies...hopefully we'll both have something grand to report...:hugs:

im taking metfomin 500mg 3 times a day, they used to make me feel really sickly but they dont anymore, when i last went to see my endocrinologist she said from looking at my bloods, there is no reason i shouldnt be able to concieve!! fingers crossed, are you currently taking anything??

Nichub-
I'm not currently taking any daily meds except the prenatal vitamins. Last cycle I took Clomid (50mg) for the first time. I'm not sure what the doc has in mind for this cycle. He did briefly mentioned upping my Clomid dose. We'll see what he says on the 3rd. I have a weird feeling like I might get AF soon though. It would be so nice to get AF without provera.

Tysonme-
I can't wait for you to start testing.
:happydance:***Happy Dance***:happydance:
This is me living vicariously through your fertile body.

Dust for everyone!!!
:dust:

It's scary what a great mood I'm in today. Too much sugar I might say.

Thank you shlindz!! So did they tell you how big your follicles were? Did they not grow enough? How is your baby box coming along? Any new editions? So far we have a few things that my brother handed down to us from my little nephew...mostly 0-6 months stuff and a bouncer/walker-type thingy. He gave us a really nice bassinet that we used for OH's cousin's baby when they came down last month. I have yet to take that thing apart, and most likely won't!! We're also going to grab his car seat and use that as a back-up in OH's car. It's all boy stuff and I really want my first to be a boy (although I'll take a little girl too!!) so he better be a boy!

Ya my follies didn't even hit 1cm. The biggest got to be 0.9cm. There was just no growth pretty much. Doc said they should be atleast 2cm to ov. No new additions to the baby box yet. But I know I'll get on a roll with it soon. I'm tend to go overboard very very easily :)
I too want a little boy, so does DH. Ofcourse I'd be over the moon with 10 fingers, 10 toes, and a nose. lol But I deffinatly prefer boy. My nephew is 3 and half now and his baby stuff is long gone to friends and other family so unfortunatly we are out of handmedowns. I'm thinking I make a lot of the baby's room decor myself. I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine and a paint brush. I'm really looking forward to it. DH wants the baby's room to be in Army camo. I told him it can be camo accent lol, but the rest will be green. I'm thinking a cute pastel/minty green. Atleast I have a colour scheme for bedding and such. I pretty much have everything picked out, except the baby. lol

That sounds beautiful! We have one room painted for OH's son which I think we'll convert to the nursery and move OH's son to the other room. His son only comes to visit during the summer months so doesn't have a lot of stuff at our house....mostly video games actually. LoL! We went to the home store and I picked out a green a blue I liked and let OH's son pick his favorite...so we eneded up painting it a beautiful blueberry color. It turned out really nice! I love it. What dosage did they give you of Clomid...50 mg? I hope they up the dose and you get your :bfp:!

When I was a kid my room was a blueberry colour. I picked it out and had Blueberry and Dandelion yellow. Very tacky when you mix the 2, but I was 12 and I loved it. lol
We plan on moving some rooms around too. We took out the third bedroom in our house to expand the kitchen (which was sooooo tiny when we bought it). So now we are going to have to move our office to the basement. We are trying to turn the basement into a cozy rec room. We are going to have our office area, the tv area, the laundry area, the excercise area, and a play room type area. Upstairs we are moving our bedroom into the old office and then the babies room into our room. I'm gonna convince DH to get the moving down in the early stages of pregnancy so that I can help. I'm sure if I left it to him to do on his own we'd end up sleeping in the living room for a week or something. :dohh:

And ya I was on a 50mg dose so hopefully they'll double it to 100mg. Gonna be more expensive, but hopefully it'll work. I looked up the metformin. Apparently the side effects suck. You feel sick and pukey for the first while. I'm not sure I could handle that and the army. It's too physically demanding to feel all icky. So fingers crossed I'm not insuline resistant.

LoL! Moving sucks! I hope you get it all sorted out soon....that's a lot of moving rooms!! How much is Clomid in Canada? I don't know how things work up there but wouldn't a portion be covered by the military? I paid like $7 (US) for 15 50mg pills. They're the generic ones...I think I priced the name brand at almost $200!!! It's all the same though. I read similar things about metformin that once your body gets used to it you're fine, but first starting out it can be a little difficult.

Hi again girls, i've been on metformin twice, the first time i was told to take a really high dose and straight away however this time when i started taking it i was told to take a very small dose and increase it very gradually, it worked tons better this way and i didn't have any side effects this way

When I bought three months worth of clomid or some generic name brand so 15 pills at 50mgs it was just under 100 bucks but my drug coverage reemboursed me 80 something so I only paid 20 bucks ish.

Good luck ladies!
