For those TTC with PCOS

i spoke to my midwife yesterday and she said i need to wait as im not full flow and blood was dark that it may not be mc. i did another superdrug test yesterday afternoon and it was still positive- but i guess that doesn't mean i havn't lost it or am not going to lose it.
but today the blood is red and dark, so i think its defs a mc,
i am waiting to hear from her today, if i dont hear by this afternoon then i will call her.xxx

hubby and i decided not to call midwife and wait for her to call us as there is nothing we can do if i am miscarrying- just have to wait.
it is now 9pm and the bleeding has stopped, so i bled for 2days and 9 hours.
i am doing another superdrug test in the morning. please wish me luck!!! xx

kiki, all the luck in the world to you!!! It is SUCH a hard position to be in. It was only a few weeks ago that I was lying very still on the couch, trying not to hurt the bean but knowing that there was nothing I could do to either prevent or cause it :( I hope the best for you; keep us in the loop!

Hi Ladies. I was diagnosed with PCOS few years ago, TTC for 1.5 yr. Tomorrow I'm starting clomid cycle 3: 150 mg. We started with 50 mg on cycle 1, then 100 mg on cycle 2 and now this is the last one. My OB told me if no luck after this one, I probably need to see fertility specialist :( Wishing all the best!!!

test this morning was negative, so thats the second lil bean lost.
i don't know why this has happened 2 times in a row, i hope it doesn't happen a 3rd time!!
i never had this problem with my first, it took a year to conceive him but i never lost any- do you think maybe there was damage done when i was giving birth that means i cant carry babies now?
i dont know what to think. i want another baby so much but im scared at the thought of it incase i lose another one.
im going to be taking a break from here for a while i think- maybe for 6weeks to 2 months, just depends on when i next have a cycle
but good luck to all of you girls and thank you so much for your support.xxxxx

Hey, I was in the same boat, after my second mc, I was diagnosed with pcos, and given a date for a fertility specialist for June of this year, but I did my own research and changed my diet, went low gi, and ate cinemin every day and added soy to my diet( for a few days after my p finially started! ) you can google it, anyway I ended up Ovulating and it looks like this time I might be lucky, so far everything is going well, fingers crossed.

Kiki, I'm SO sorry! :hugs: What an awful experience! But nothing was damaged inside you from your pregnancy! Miscarriages happen sometimes, even back-to-back, and it doesn't necessarily mean there is something wrong. There are thousands of things that have to go exactly right in order for the baby to grow and develop, so it is no wonder that sometimes it doesn't work out. Take a break and heal yourself and your body... and hopefully next time, those thousand things all go right!!

hi im 29 and have never had a regular period. i was on the pill from age 16 to 21 and fell pregnant with my only son now 6 straight away which was a total suprise. ive always thought that there was something not right with me as never had a regular period and had terrible mood swings. Hi Everyone! I'm Michelle and I'm 26 yrs old. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I knew something was wrong years before I was diagnosed. I've always had irregular periods and other symptoms. I will find out on Monday what will be the next step to conceive.

My DH and I have been trying for 5 months. My DH had a vasectomy reversal in late May.

I just had laprascopy surgery two weeks ago for endometriosis. So the next step is to see what medication I will need to take to conceive.

Baby dust to all!

Hey honey...this is my third cycle of Clomid and I took 150 mg. 50 and 100 mg didn't make me ov. So I'm kinda in the same boat as you. Fingers crossed for both of us!!

Wanting2010 - So how is it going for you? I am on day 6, yesterday started Clomid and hopefully my ovulation will be here soon :) Did you talk to your OB about any other options? My doctor told me this is my last month on Clomid and if this won't work, we have to try other options ... not sure what it means yet. Good luck to you and keep me posted :)

Well today is CD 15 and no sign of ov yet. =( It could still happen but I'm not going to get my hopes up about it. I haven't talked to my doctor about other options yet, but I do know she won't prescribe above 150 mg of Clomid, so if it doesn't work this cycle we will have to move onto something else. I'm thinking I will ask her about giving Femara a try since I've heard good things about it.

I'm not sure what will be next step for me. I really hope something will change. Do you monitor your temperature? Last cycle I had high 97 during my cycle and now 2 days in a row I have over 98.

Hope for the best :)

Hi guys! I'm sorry I'm barging in like this, I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS yet, but I'm quite sure I will be soon. Because if it's not PCOS, then I have no idea what's going on with me.

I just have this question about anovulatory cycles and I hope you can help me. Since I came off the pill my cycles's been getting longer with each month and periods getting lighter, to the point where I almost won't get any fresh red blood. But they still come, more and more delayed, but they do (the longest been 44 days so far). This month I started charting, and FF has changed its mind like 10 times already whether I've ovulated or not. I always thought that if I get periods, then I must be ovulating, but now I'm wondering - could you have periods and not ovulate?

Here's my chart if someone would like to take a look - https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Soili Yesterday I got a positive OPK again all of the sudden and FF removed the cross lines, but before it thought I O'ed CD21. Of course then the weird temp drops started happening.

I have very regular period....between 30-33 days and I do not ovulate, and haven't for at least a year.

Pinkee, thank you, it is possible then that I don't either! One thing I'm sure - my body has no idea what is it doing ;) I'm getting way too many +ve OPKs, my temps are all over the place, the EWCM shows up randomly, I'm spotting. BIG MESS.

Soili it sounds to me like your cycles are becoming what's normal for you since getting off the hormones from b/c. Have you heard of vitex? it's supposed to help regulate your hormones, and hopefully help you to ovulate.

Pinkee, you say you haven't ovulated in at least a year. Were you getting + opk before that? I was having 30 day cycles since getting off the IUD last summer; then the last 2 cycles were 44 days; and then the one I'm on was 30 days again...?! I haven't been testing for ovulation, but I think I will this time around because I'm hoping I stay with the 30 day cycles. ( I was thrown off by the 6 week ones! )

Also, has any one else tried Vitex? Did it work for you? How long did it take? Any other life style changes?

I'm wanting to start as I think it would take a few months to regulate things, and hopefully get a BFP by June. My hubby on the other hand thinks it will work almost instantly and that we'll end up with a winter baby (he's a Dec baby and doesn't want our child to have a winter b-day) so he wants to wait a while.
