For those TTC with PCOS

Again, i'm no doctor but from what i've seen other ladies on here say I thought the only reason doctors recommended waiting a cycle was for dating purposes.

Good luck x

Hi ladies! My name is Jennifer and I also have PCOS and Im still TTC # 1, im currently on CD 1 and trying to remain hopeful. We've been trying for around 3 years now and this past year we've been working with a specialist and still no bfp's. We are now on injectables because clomid and letrozole did pretty much nothing for me. hopefully this is our month! good luck everyone!

Hi

Im no doctor so I dont want to give you any medical advice but surely you need to wait untill you have had your next period to start again anyway, thats one period at least.

Have you looked at other threads in different sections relating to this??

Do you take any other meds or do anything to help you ovulate sooner?? Might be worth taking the opportunity to look into it??

Sorry im not much help, just wanted you to know that someone is out there listening to you and give you some support

xxxx

ofcorse i will wait until i have my next cycle, when i said soon ,i didnt mean like tomorrow or anything, i reckon ive still probably got a few weeks (at least 6) until i will have my cycle. but i cant be sure as ofcorse my system will be a bit of a mess -even more-so now! but i just wondered if any other of you ladies with pcos had been in the same situation and so knew if it was imperative to wait until after 2 cycles to try again. thanks for your advice anyway, i will post in a different section and see if anyone else can offer advice. thank you again xxx

Hi I suffer from pcos and suffered from a mc in sept 08. I was told by the doctor that there was no need to wait, because if my body was ready it would accept the pregnancy. I did ttc straight away for the next few months but then felt I needed to take time out from it so had a break and am now ready to start again. You must do what feels right for you. Good luck x

Good morning ladies, I had my doc appointment this morning and was expecting to discuss clomid and other issues surrounding pcos... BUT, before I went to the appointment, I poas to check, and, unexplicably, unexpectedly, got a :bfp: ! I am just hoping & praying now that it sticks and grows into the baby I have always wanted!

Wow, what a nice surprise for you  I hope that it sticks and that you have a happy and healthy 9 months :happydance:

Hi, can I please join in this thread please if there is room for one more!

I'm 32, OH 36, was diagnosed 2007 after laparoscopy for suspected endo, confirmed pcos, was practically told to take the pill and get on with things, no follow up appointments, no tests carried out for fertility etc. I went back to GP and he was great, carried out 21 day prog tests and they firstly showed no ov, was devastated. I never took pill at any time and still havent. I take all natural supplements, Agnus Castus, EPO, Zinc, Folic Acid and B-Vits and so far seems to have been working as I got re-tested at GP last year, a bit later on than day 21 and it seems that I do ov so thats good, although I suspect not every month.

Have been ttc since Feb 2010 and so far nothing. Cycles are anywhere from 28 days to 50 days. I had been regularish the past year with 28-32 days but last month was 50 and I'm on CD40 of this one.

I symptom spot too much, every month every little thing gets magnified, I'm just so desperate to have those two pink lines instead of the usual one!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and congrats to those with their BFPs and huge hugs to those who havent been so lucky, I hope we can console and support each other to all our BFPs in the very near future xx

Wow, congratulations, what a lush surprise!! Just shows it can happen when we are least expecting it!!

Good luck to you and your teeny bean .... hopefully some of us will be joining you next month xxxx

Thanks, clo_mid! My cycle was so screwy, I wasn't sure when I O'd & certainly wasn't sure we BD enough at the right time because of that. You just never know! I wish you luck!!

Thats ok, its lovely to hear that it finally happens for people who have had problems and try so hard.

:dust: for a sticky bean xxx

Hello ladies. Well a little update....I was waiting until I was 2 weeks late to take a test, which would be today. But lucky me I got AF instead, so good thing I didn't test as I was afraid of a BFN. But I'm confused because my last 2 cycles have been 44 days apart, and before that they were 30...so I wonder if this is just my new cycle? I have been trying the all natural route since August, but after really getting my hopes up this cycle (with the spotting one week before I thought AF was due) I think the next step is to go on Clomid.
Good luck to the rest of you ladies, and I love seeing everyone's updates.

Aw sorry the :witch: got you, at least its here now and you can get on with the next cycle, i would recommend clomid, it seems to work for a lot of ladies and its doing its job for me!

You sound very positive so keep that chin up and good luck for the next round xxx

Thanks Clo_mid. I feel like I have to keep a positive attitude or I'll jinx myself. I just want a baby so bad, hubby and I have been going over so many baby names lately, we need to be able to use one! lol.
And ready-4-baby, I'm so happy for you. It definitely gives some hope

I just started AF AGAIN! Maybe its because I'm exercising a lot lately, idk. All I know is the cramping was so bad this month. Oi!
So its CD3 for me.

*Congrats Ready4!* do you have any idea how far long you could be?

hey pinkee!
im sorry to hear AF got you again!- im waiting on mine after mc so i can start trying again. have no idea how long it will take- so in limbo.
fingers crossed for you you will get your BFP next one! xx

pinkee, I think I'm 4 weeks, but I'm not 100% on which day I O'd. Should be due around September 17, and DH is already teasing me about being big, hot & pregnant during the peak of summer. I SO hope you all get what you're dreaming of.

congrats Ready4baby!! That is awseome news!! They do say it happens when its least expected!!! I just finished my first round of provera and now waiting on AF to start. I decided to wait amonth or two before going on clomid. Ive been exercising and getting ready to start the 17 day diet thats been all over the news!! I would like to lose 10-20 pounds before i start the clomid. so in the meantime if it happens that will be great!! but if not maybe i'll be a little healthier as far as weight goes in a couple months! Its hard to wait but I think its the best thing since my blood pressure runs a little hight 140/88. im not terribley overweight about 30 lbs.

thanks jenn! good luck to you with your dieting plans; I hope it's a huge success followed by a little bean!
