FS on Thurs - no CD21 bloods yet due to PCOS. Will they treat me?

Hi there

I am seeing my FS on Thursday. Its my second consultation but the first one with this guy. At my first one I was told to go away and have SA, HSG, US and CD21 bloods.

Since then I have only had one ovulation and one proper period and I forgot to have the bloods then - didn't realise til 10dpo. (Assuming that they intend for you to have the bloods done at 7dpo, rather than precisely CD21??) anyway I assumed the metformin had sorted my cycles so I didn't worry about it as I had 4 months to go! Cue 85 day cycle.... I've not ovulated but I have had a small bleed (am CD4 now) so should be able to do them this cycle.

But will my FS give me Clomid without it? (i know I am showing as cycle #1 on clomid now - less asked about that the better....) or will i get sent away again for another bloody 5 months? Surely this sort of issue is pretty common with PCOS?

Hi hun, I didn't have CD21 bloods done when went to FS as, like you, I had crazy long cycles. This test is just to confirm ovulation(I think??) but my FS said that from my cycle pattern it was clear I wasn't ovulating and prescribed Clomid on first appt. Hope you meet a sensible FS who will do same!!

Where I live, my doc isn't able to refer me to fs until I've have all my hormone levels tested, trans vaginal scan, dh had sa, my doc did all those, I have had five blood tests since Xmas but forgot to do progestorone (can't spell!) test, so I've had to have that dine on cd 24? I have been having 70 day cycles so there's no way it will show ovulation, but she did it anyway just so she could tick the box and get me in front of fs.

I've had all the preliminary ones for progesterone, testosterone, fasting glucose etc. But I was asked to do the cd21 one but I've not been able to

On the upside, I can have it in 2 weeks

I think my mental charts will show him well enough that ovulation isn't happening....
