I know this is probably a phase but I wanted to hear others opinions. Baby took to solids like a champ, we weaned v slowly from 4 months on medical advice. He has a mix of spoon feeding and finger feeding up until now he has coped and loved everything.

He is now 7 months and suddenly he is gagging a lot and this causes him to vomit. He doesn't do this if food is very smooth . I know its prob just to do with the way he is moving things around his mouth and experiencing things but is their anything I can do? should I just keep going with what he usually has and disregard the puking?

Sorry about the punctuation, I am on my phone!

To clarify, until now he eats everything and anything. We tend to give him what we eat . Some of his fave foods are toast, chilli and sweet potatoes.

started with tummy bug , still happening 2 weeks later

With my LO it doesn't seem to be anything to do with illness.

My daughter didn't cope with lumpy foods and finger foods until she was 8 months. Before that she choked and vomited if anything was too big to eat
