Just finished reading! What an amazing story - I seriously felt like I was there for the birth practically! I've got to say all-in-all sounds like a pretty good birth minus the excruciating amount of pain you were in. You managed it well though! Your birth sounds so completely different to mine but in the end as long as baby arrives safely that's what matters most. :) I'm so jealous you both were able to go home so quickly! Hoping so much we'll have the same luck this time. Biggest baby of the year and top 5-10 of all time?! WOW! My daughter weighed 3070g (6lb 12oz) and measured 49cm (19in) in length. So teenie tiny! Well, thanks for sharing your birth story! I never got to writing one although I thought about it. Guess there are some things I'd rather forget.

My 20 week appointment went well. :) Finya's healthy! All her organs look good. She weighs 300g (10.6oz) and is measuring a week smaller than the average at her gestation but Aurora also measured on the smaller side in the 20 week range so it's not surprising. Just wanted to share. :)

Half asleep about to crash into my bed! :P
I went out last night to a friends bbq and stayed, didnt get much sleep (well for a pregnant woman!).
Not sure about the others, but I'm good, although everything physical is getting really hard :) The sunshine was definitely put to use today with washing ;)
How are you?

im here ish just in the middle of renovating and moving flats:haha: oh and being achey

You two are busy! It was quiet in here a while so just wanted to check in. :) Sure was a beautiful day! Not much new on my side, just exhausted as usual! We are looking for a car though, which I'm so happy about since we've been carless for nearly 6 months now, yuck!

I'm here, just up to my eyes with a new born, a two year old and 4 year old!
We're just getting ready to go for his U2 checkup - it's all so different the process/care compared to in the UK! I have a list of questions the length of my arm, so I hope I don't forget them, and we have to see a different doctor today, and I've no idea if he speaks English or not!
I seem to have forgotten all the German I knew after a week and a half being mostly at home and having my parents here as well...

General rule, Doctors have to have done gymnasium, which means (unless they're really really weird) have learned a lot of english at school, AND to get into medicine they have to have actually gotten a good mark in it :). However I've definitely had doctors that made absolutely no effort to talk to me in english... they just chat to my DH :dohh:
Good luck for the appointment!

Hope you're fine dgirllamius.

holywoodmum I can imagine how busy you must be! Well, I can't imagine it to the full just yet but soon enough! I'd guess most doctors know some basic English but even if they learned it in school may be rusty using it depending on how often they use it. My ophthalmologist speaks Germglish with me, it's the strangest.

I'm wondering, how many mg a day of iron are you taking/did you take while pregnant? I'm taking 20mg a day (liquid) at the moment, that's what's recommended for those who aren't pregnant, but 50mg is recommend during pregnany right? Do I just jump right in with 50 or start at the regular amount and up the dosage over the weeks so my body gets used to it if that makes sense.. on the bottle nothing for pregnant women is even stated so hope I'm doing this right. Don't want to overdose.

I am here too. My oh is working in ship management , and there is one vessel which is a pile of junk, and it always seems to find the worst effing ports in the world to break down. :(. (last time it was djibouti which is in the gulf of aden, ) this time it is in Jordan. I didnt 't even fricking know that Jordan has a sea port O.o
(it has a tiny strip of coast as I saw on the map)
Luckily it is only for a few days.
Other than that, we had a lovely bike ride yesterday through the local area, (me and oh always loike looking for roads and paths we don't know yet, you never know if you don't find a nice park or so :) )
it was as the last day of my Oh's leave(he was on leave for two weeks)

BTW I take one tablet of 80mg a day . :) (in the morning before breakfast)
