Oh lovely :D!
I'm hoping krankenhaus without drugs :O! Hopefully I can keep their knives away from me as well...

Hahaha! I'm ok with it. But really you never know how bad it's going to be! It might be something that you can cope with, while you cry over a splinter...
I tend to deal worse with less pain and deal better with more :/ No idea why!
Not really into elective pain though, I doubt I'd ever go for a tattoo or something...

holywoodmum 5 hours at once is a dream at 2 days old! :) Maybe you'll have an early sleeper through the night at that rate! :D I'm happy you're both doing well. Take good care!

Congrats Hollywood mum :D

Unfortunately reaf facing isnt as popular yet but there are some seats- and the ADAC also says they are 5 times safer and has a list with rearfacing car seats too. (According to the German forum I am on they are called 'reboarders' don't ask me where they came up with the hideous description but you know marketing people they love hideous neologisms.)

I wonder why if they're considered 5x safer they're not commonly sold and recommended? The only extended rear facing seat I know of here is the Recaro Polaric. There's also a Graco one but it's only rear facing up to 13kg then needs to be turned. The Citi seat we have is also up to 13kg so there's no difference except the Graco can be used longer but in the forward direction.

Oups, it's actually a Britax one, don't know why I thought Graco. It's the Britax First Class.

Yeah, the pebble is up to 13kgs too! I was trying to imagine how big that is... I so have no idea!

Our daughter weighs about 9kg at 8.5 months. Like I mentioned though, she's about to touch the top with her head so not much longer. Maybe it'll work up to 9.5-10kg with her, we'll see.

It is just not in the peoples heads yet, like in the UK they havent been on the market in here for that long(unlike sweden with their 40 year history) so it is not that commonly known yet. I only knew about them because of this forum.
I think there is more than just the Britax nowadays though.

I've spent too much time searching for extended rear facing seats sold in Germany. For ones that go past 13kg one is sold - the Recaro Polaric. It doesn't even have good reviews - massive and didn't perform well in crash tests. :/ So, ordering from Sweden if you're in Germany is probably your best option - (https://www.carseat.se/store.html).

Yes, I just read a start post of the rearfacing seats thread and it looks like in some boards some women order together as they get some rebate.

Saphira, his nights have become steadily worse... Didn't go to sleep til 2.30am yesterday :(

Oh no! I feel your pain - sounds like my daughter nowadays. After 3hrs. of trying to get her to sleep last night she finally went down at 1:30AM. :/ She's such a night owl plus teething to make matters worse. Hope you've managed to get some rest anyway. :flower: Other than that, how's little Patrick doing? What do his big sisters think? :)
