Hmmm, maybe start with your Frauenarzt?
You can always ring them up, they always say to call if I have questions etc. But you're still early, 27 weeks will be fine because it's wayyy before you'd have her out anyway![]()
Same for me! Well I like doing things with him, but I just wish he didn't have to translate half the stuff!
That's something I'd discuss with my frauenartz. Bring it up at the next appointment! I know I asked many birth related questions during appointments and he was happy to take time to answer them. Made me feel more relaxed about it. In the end, they'll want baby to be delivered in the safest way so ask him if in your case that may be via c-section.
By the way - my frauenartz delivered my daughter and he'll deliver our second as well. I thought that's how it's normally done?
from what my mil has told me it depends on if your frauenarzt works with the hospital you choose? mine doesnt but the krankenhause has really good reviews so i think id be fine

I see, that makes sense. I just chose the "frauenklinik" mine works with. I'd still start with your frauenartz though.I wouldn't want to wait a few months for such an answer.
yeh i was just reading on toy town a thread from 2007 but dont think its changed that you should bringit up with frauen arzt and then she can note it and then again with the hospital as the health insurance will not pay unless its really needed for medical reasons

I'm not sure about that. I remember an episode of "Teenie Mütter" where one of the girls had a c-section because she was terrified of a vaginal birth and I know she didn't have the money to pay for it. So, I'd be surprised if c-sections also when not completely medically necessary aren't actually covered here. Then again, maybe the show took care of her extra costs, if any.. I'd be surprised though.
it said they can refuse to pay if no medical reason is given but some doctors will just make something up for youi do have reasons tho my hips and pelvis are kaput even b4 trying to push and if i was to have an epidural and natural birth i wouldnt be able to tell how far i could safely have my hips before any damage could happen usualy not very far at all

Then it sounds to me like there's a medical reason for it! I'm sure your frauenarzt will give you that referral. My aunt also had to have c-sections because of her hip build because her doctor considered that route safer.
Aurora got stuck and then her heartrate dropped so she ended up having to be ripped out via ventouse. My husband said it looked so brutal. I had the midwife practically jumping on my stomach to get her through. That was the most painful! They found out her umbilical cord was the reason - it was quite short!
So, if you're not able to push her out, there are other ways. But, I see your concerns and would be interested in what your FA thinks. At least your appointment's coming up!
