Nothing happened here yet so far but I am having my induction tomorrow . Have fun at the hospital visitation :)

Wow, they're inducing you quick!! Good luck!!

Had a shit night last night. got to sleep around 230 i think. But didn't sleep much. She was upset and feeding from 3:30-11pm :/

Weaning off the shield is going badly. She gets frustrated...

Yay morri, best of luck!! :flower: I'll be thinking of you!

7.5hrs. straight of BFing Sarah?! The more I hear of such stories, the less I see it working out for us having a 13 month old to care for too. I hope your midwife has some tips for you as how to best go about weaning off the shield. Have you given Ella her first bath yet? How did that go? How are you feeling?

Well she came off in 30min gaps at the start. Then 10mins, then she just would cry whenever I took her off...
First bath is tomorrow!! doing it with the midwife :/ Kind of scared! I bet she's just going to cry...

She hasnt really given me any ideas how to get her off it.. Im just trying to BF without it until she gets at all frustrated then putting the shield on... Its easier that way, or she ENDS the feed all upset...

She may surprise you! Water is the environment they're most used to after all! It really isn't so bad, you get the hang of it quickly. We'll definitely have a bath mattress or something of the sort this time. Without is so strenuous after a while!

Have you tried giving her a pacifier? There are ones for breastfeeding babies that are supposed to prevent nipple confusion. Just a thought. :)

I asked a question and then felt it sounded a bit strange, so took it off again.

I was just wondering if you ladies are all in Germany with the Military or Army?

Hi Piperette. :) No military here - American gal married to a German. Are you in Germany too?

How long have you all lived in Germany? I am originally from Germany, have lived in the UK for almost 10 years and have moved back with Scottish OH and LO earlier this year.

Over 3 years now but not planning on staying longterm. I want back and husband is a big fan of a move across the ocean as well. :)

10 years living abroad, wow! Does it feel good to be back? :)

We're in the SW.

WOH, are you planning on staying then?

It feels good to be back, although strangely enough I am missing the UK more than I thought I would.

Hi Piper, I am a German in germany, my OH is South African though.

My induction was delayed to tomorrow, as they had a couple of emergency cases today and they didn't want me to suffer from bad service/treatment as I wouldnt be priority(5 other women in total there) tomorrow I am only 1 of 2 so after they had me on the CTG for an hour and saw that it looked all good, they asked me whether I would agree with coming back tomorrow.
At least I could leave my bag there in a locker.

I seem to be the only one from remotely North Germany :haha: all the other ladies stay in the deep south ;)

Oh well I guess that's alright Morri, at least you'll have better service and things. Cherish your last day with ur bump!!!
