Ah can't believe h pmow much she has been feeding on the weekend. she fed pretty much in one go the whole day, but it looks like some of it sticks, and she had a good night so didnt demand too mch then.Midwife was here today again and she has gained weight so she is now over her birthweight :D. (birth weight was 3910) now she is 4020 g (or 50 can't remember but it was over 4000 g ) :D. today she is pretty good, I got her in her wrap for the first time and she seems to like it :). Just a bit tricky still to loosen it up for the feeding.

@Sarah she may have just the random ii have got no real reason to cry, cry , I read in my book today again and they do occur , some have them longer some have them at shorter time periods.

uh oh we cant find a midwife for after the birth they all seem booked up, but we were olnly told to book one when i went for the hospital tour:shrug:

i am sure there is one for you somewhere. Have you asked the hospital for a list or at the webiste of midwives?

How are you and Finya going saph????

Thanks for asking Sarah. I'm relieved to say my appointment yesterday went well, Finya's doing well and the contractions have stopped! This means no hospital stay, phew. He thinks a variety of factors could have caused the contractions and pain. First of all, I've probably overdone it physically. I need to slow down, which is really hard to do with a baby to care for as well. Second, I'm pretty sure she turned head down on Saturday evening. She was moving around like crazy and this is when the pain began. It was confirmed this is her new position. My doctor said this can sometimes be a major stress on the body and take some days to get used to. The muscles were probably stretching like crazy. I kept saying that I had none of these pains my first pregnancy, even the last days before I was fine, but then I realized how much I was able to rest at that time. No way this time. Plus, I was told by my doctor, midwife and a nurse at the hospital that with second time + pregnancies women tend to feel more.. I also have my third infection, which he wants to aggressively treat because it could also be a cause for contractions. Never had any infections my first pregnancy and this time getting hit hard.
Yesterday night I started feeling a lot better and today I'm feeling the best I've felt since Saturday. Still some pain and discomfort but I'll take it compared to how it was. I'm on bedrest (or the best I can be on it..) until my husband goes back to work next week. I simply cannot take care of my daughter now. Hoping so much by next week I'll be myself again but I've learned I need to slow down and my body's signaling that loud and clear. I can't carry her around anymore or rush around when she's a grump. It kills me that I can't give her the attention she deserves at the moment.

Oh i hope you are able to relax a bit so baby stays put for a while longer .:)

had my 30 weeks appointment yesterday baby is doing perfect has had a big spurt from 3 weeks ago she was 849 g and yesterday 1655 g hope shes not going to be whopper:haha:, i have a water infection AND another yeast infection never even noticed any of the symptoms of it:haha: so antibiotics were given yesterday one time as a powdert asted rather nice for meds also had a 4d scan done instead of the regular scan

Aww, I hope things settle back down for you. I guess if it was the infection, once it's gone it'll hopefully make the contractions end? It's nice to know that you're close to the end though, 4 more weeks and you're full term! Is there any help you can get? I wonder if insurance covers someone to come and help you in any way, sounds like something they'd do in germany.

Good to hear that your appointment went well Whisper! How are you liking the new doctor and staff? Hopefully a friendlier environment than the last one. I was handed a brochure of info. about the strep B testing at my appointment Tues. and one of the ladies working there let me know it'd be 20€. I had it done my first pregnancy too. Will have that the next appointment in 2 weeks I believe, that was my last monthly appointment, yikes! Really getting close here and YAY for that because after all this pain and discomfort I can officially say I'm over being pregnant. I didn't feel this way at all the first time, in fact I was ready to stay pregnant a while longer at 39 weeks  but with my lack of mobility here I can't take it anymore and am afraid it'll be this way another 7-8 weeks.

Thanks Sarah. The infection, baby turning, overdoing it physically, muscles stretching to support baby's new position and who knows what else all combined to cause this I'm sure. There were no contractions measured a couple days ago so they stopped on their own. Now just muscle pain and baby being in this position my body doesn't agree so much with I suppose. Yes, I could get help. Insurance covers haushaltshilfe (I believe it's called) for 6hrs. a day but I don't need someone to cook or clean, my husband can take care of that, I need someone to take care of my active 11 month old! It wouldn't work out that well anyway because she's so used to us and someone completely new coming for a week or two would be hard on her. I'm hoping the next few days I'll be more fit to handle her or else she's just going to have to deal with my slowness getting around here and she'll have to stick to playing in her room because I can't run around the whole apartment with her feeling like this. :(

How are the babies doing Sarah and morri?

Perfect! :)

Well, my husband is the "haushaltshilfe" for the week paid by the health insurance since he doesn't have more than a few days of paid leave left from work this year. He can technically stay home as long as my doctor sees I need to be on bedrest so if I'm still unable to care for my daughter next week the time could be extended. I'm just hoping that's not the case because it's a very busy time of year for him at work and I feel guilty about this and I want to be able to care for my daughter again like always.
