Its basically what they said as well, the the cold weather just kills their skin, but apparently that allows her allergy to get in. We dont know whatit's from though, she could be allergic to something I eat, or clothing fabric/wash or it could be dust mites like me.

The cream we got from the paediatrician is called Remederm creme- widmer. I think its basically a moisturiser. Yeah, I realised that with like wipes and things "sensitive" is meaningless.

We rang 116117 and got the name of the kinderartz that was open on the 25th. I think the city always has one open on public holidays, and 1 pharmacy.
Maybe her eye is being sensitive like her skin? Im scared that Ella has a raw/dry/sore nose like I get from my allergies, but there isnt really anyway I can see...

I only use water, although about once a week I used wedela on her hair as it was getting really clumpy from the oil. So might try that bodywash too.

The hardest part is figuring it all out - what are they allergic to, if anything? Hoping a dermatologist can give us more answers. I know there's a test that can be done to determine allergies but from what I know it involves a lot of needles. :/ Hopefully there's a newer way of testing that wouldn't be so painful.

I'd just be careful with over the counter baby products honestly. I find for sensitive skin they do more damage than good.. as for wipes, we use these from DM: https://www.dm.de/cms/servlet/segment/de_homepage/babylove/produkte/babypflege/waschen-baden/91580/einmal_waschlappen.html
They're completely free of scent and dry, which I like because when we used the already moist ones I found over time they lost moisture very quickly. Wetting these disposable wipes with just water when needed for bigger jobs is the way we've gone for nearly a year now. For small jobs we just use little towels to dry and throw them in the laundry every day. She's never had a diaper rash, just occasional redness which is easily dealt with with Babylove wundschutzcreme. That's the only over the counter product we use with her anymore.

I'm not sure the name of the cream she's prescribed (can't check now, she's sleeping) but I believe it's glycerin-based. It was changed to a thicker form a month or so ago and ironically that's when the area around mainly her right eye got so irritated. We stopped using it on her face for that reason. Could be that it's so thick it stays on the skin's surface too long and when she rubbed her eyes it got in? Her eyes have never been red though even when the doctor said she has conjunctivitis. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone has a clue what's going on.

About the Dermifant products - don't be scared away by the prices. They look scary but they're worth trying. The shampoo/body wash costs around 10€ at the pharmacy we get it at, which isn't bad at all because it lasts forever. We've been using the same bottle for at least 5 months now. You don't need much to cover the whole body with it. There's also a bath oil we may try. Her Eucerin face cream takes the cake though - 20€ for 50ml..

Very nice! A good amount of storage space underneath as well. Does it come with a carrycot or can it be used from birth without?

the carrycott part converts into the stroller you take off a section and pull out to make the stroller, also has a bassinet stand where it converts to an overnight bed and the carseat fits dirctly onto the pram frame

Now that's what I call an all-in-one stroller! The Mura has the carrycot separate and it's massive! The main reason why I didn't get one with Aurora because we used the car seat and she was very rarely in it for more than a couple hours. The lady selling the Mura threw the carrycot in the package for a great price though so I'm not complaining. :) It just amazes me the biggest part of a stroller is for the tiniest baby! The seat part is like a third of the carrycot size.

We're probably going to a friends house for new yeErs. Trying to decide whether to get her to sleep n the carseat there or carry cot... She'll probably end up sleeping in my arms tbh.

we will be at home. Are the people around you also starting their crackers early? I have been hearing nothing but crackers going off every couple of minutes for at least 2 days.

Yep, been hearing them the past few days. To be honest, I hate New Year's in Germany. My husband kept saying how over-exaggerated Christmas decorating in the U.S. is, well, I think the celebration for New Year's is over-exaggerated here. :p People act so recklessly to make it worse, throwing these crackers and who knows what directly at or in front of people. Definitely staying in. Just worried about Aurora's sleep.. she's a light sleeper for the first half of the night. Think it's going to be a crazy night for us, just want it over!

They are MENTAL with fireworks here!! A&E must have their work cut out for them... and the animal shelters

Frohes neues Jahr! :D It's the year of Finya and Lena, yayyyy! Officially Finya's month now!

What did everyone get up to last night? We put Aurora down as usual and she slept maybe an hour tops 'til the fireworks and party upstairs became too much noise-wise so at 10:30 we got her up because it made no sense.. didn't get her back down 'til 1:30, way too loud. The fireworks weren't so much the problem by then, but the neighbors. She was so exhausted she went down without a fuss. NYE is no fun with light sleeping babies! At least it's over with for another year. :)

We went to a friends house and put Ella down at her normal time, swaddled with white noise in her carry cot and she slept for 3.5 hours!!! Didnt wake up till well into the fireworks, then quickly put her in the car seat and drove home, she was totally zonked out.
