Hi girls, wondering if anyone can help me. I've just found out I am pregnant again - total surprise 'on the pill and while breastfeeding' baby!! Super happy though
My milk supply has taken a bit of a dive, does anyone know of a safe way to increase milk. I don't want to dry up yet, by 8 month old still needs me.
Funny enough, I was just reading up on lactogenic foods yesterday!
Oatmeal, barley, chickpeas (hummus), leafy greens (spinach, kale, etc) are all supposed to help with milk production, and they're all healthy and safe to eat during pregnancy! Home made barley water and malt drinks (Non alcoholic) are meant to be good as well.
ETA: Make extra sure you're getting enough water to drink and calories! You'll need more than you would if you were just pregnant OR just breast feeding.
