As the title says. Im looking for some ideas for my LOs to make there grandparents.
Since i have no idea what to get them

Me & my LO are going to a local pottery shop and making each of them a mug and maybe a side plate. And they've also got a handmade key ring each saying "Grandma's Keys" etc :)

I'm just getting my MIL and her husband some wine. For her birthday next month I'm getting a memory bear made out of some of the girl's old baby clothes.

My FIL and his wife I'm making a soup themed gift basket with a bottled soup mix, bamboo bowls, soup spoons, etc and other things that fit that theme.

My mom is getting a Willow Tree nativity set as she collects Willow Tree things.

My dad is the hardest to buy for, I'm thinking just a gift card for a bookstore.

And the girls will probably decorate ornaments for all of their grandparents.

Last year I bought 4 canvases at a craft store, some canvas paint, and painted one letter on each canvas spelling "LOVE". The "O" I used DS1 handprint, and the "V" I used DS2 footprints on an angle to make the V. Saw it on pinterest. They loved it, and have them hanging up in their dining room.

Great thread! I struggle every year!

Last yr we also did foot print canvases for pil. I've done local produce hampers in the past too such as honey/chutneyswine etc.

Not sure this yr. :/

some nice ideas. Last year i bought snow globes and had them engraved but that was a fortune. So looking for something homemade from the kids this year.

Since we've had kids, we've made a photo calendar using photos of the kids for each set of grandparents...they love them and always ask for a new one each year!

Have also made a butterfly footprint canvas (look on google images) before now and pottery bits as others have mentioned.

we always do a photoshoot and make up calendas.

then normally give the a wine/cheese hamper

photo calendar
canvas or photo frame
hamper with choccies/food bits/alcohol

I've given the usual photos, calendars etc, also done a local foods hamper they loved this.

I've given my nan a grandma journal https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dear-Grand...id=1413099358&sr=8-1&keywords=grandma+journal

I also have bought my nan cardigans and mobility aids, the cushion I bought her is used every single day.

Last year we did a little hamper for my husbands nan, hot choc, new cup, book, fleece blanket and some biscuits - all very cheap.

Thinking of the Downton Abbey boxset this year for one nan and stuck for the other as she is 93 and can't read anymore, doesn't watch tv, can't hear and can't walk that far, she's giving up fast and I need to think of something to make her smile.

Wish I saw these lovely ideas earlier... Would of rather of done home made as it seems more thoughtful IMO

But we brought my mum a willow tree figure, my dad a key ring from a hand made store on fb, and are getting them a photo calendar between them x

Have you thought about spelling something on it? My son loves doing his hand prints so for fathers day we made some presents and this was one, I just used masking tape and let lo go to work. We'll be making some mistle toes on canvas this year too, theres tonnes you can do with canvas and your imagination :) x
