Isn't it weird how such trivial things are so important when you're planning a wedding?
Anyway, I really need some help! We're having two long tables at the wedding instead of smaller ones, and we're having tablecloths pretty much the same as these: https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148534020468/
We're having silver salt and paper in the middle, as well as small card boxes made to look like antique packaging with bits and bobs in, and antique silver and brass jugs, as well as wine etc. https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148533454047/
We're having tea lights in antique pastry moulds and one of two larger candles. https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148533977700/
We're having two or three silver bud vases, as well as a few nicely places flowers just on the table, but flowers will be minimal so it doesn't look over cluttered.
We're having antique silk handkercheifs as napkins, mostly white, some with embroidery. Our glasses will be mostly glass, with one or two beautiful tarnished silver wine glasses amongst them. Our cutlery is completely mismatched. https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148534632514/
The problem is the plates. Told you it was trivial
Do I have them on the tables or by the buffet? Second does seem to make more sense I guess, but would the tables look weird without the plates? Secondly, do I go for plain white or white with gold trim, or do I get mismatched subtly patterned ones like this? https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148534564272/ or https://pinterest.com/pin/17381148534617872/ I don't know whether they would look too cluttered with everything else but I really wanna keep the vibe I've got going and I can't imagine white plates looking right!
What do you think?
