:flower:Me and my OH have decided that a wedding in gretna green is the way to go with a couple of friends as witnesses (my family are too complicated and difficult to decide who to invite etc!). Has anyone done a gretna wedding? Recommend a place to stay? etc
Thank u :flower:

I have, we had our wedding in Anvil hall and they had the reception at the gables hotel.

Gretna is a great place to get married, there is such a nice atmosphere, when we got married all the brides where getting ready together as we were all on the same floor in the hotel.

If you need any help organising or have any questions about anything please ask

My sister had her wedding here, the rooms got an amazing stereo built in too and we were partying with champagne on the morning of her wedding. Think the two of them fitted in the bath too! It's got a huuuuuuge balcony too. Worth the £250 a night :)

The anvil hall is a lovely ceremony too. It's setting made me so so emotional!!!

It truly looks amazing and the whole "we went to Gretna" Sounds so romantic. We are doing similar but going to a castle in Cornwall x

Thank you for sharing those photos, it looks so lovely, going to get my OH to organise it all and book it.

Hi, thankyou both. Yes, I'll put some pictures on when we get back from our honeymoon.

I'm not sure if either of you have been but Gretna Green really is beautiful, such a pretty little village :)

Hi, well I'm officially married :happydance:

We had the most wonderful wedding day, absolutely perfect in every way. My hubby and I pretty much laughed all the way through the ceremony, even our minister and witnesses were laughing :haha:

It was a very happy, relaxed and romantic day, exactly what we both wanted! Marriage rocks :happydance:

Here's a link to some of our photos if anyone wants a nosey!

Aw, thank you!

Our minister was called Sandy Jamieson, he was really lovely! A very down to earth and friendly person.
