As a spin off from a post I read recently regarding the cost of living I just wondered how much everyone spends on grocery shopping?
We spend around £100 a week, that is for breakfast, lunches and dinnners (and snacks) for myself, DH, DS and my DD who is 17 is with us 4 days a week.
I buy all my toiletries and cleaning materials as well as nappies from the supermarket too. We often end up 'topping up' - spending more on bits and bobs we have forgotten or run out of too! It seems like an awful lot of money to me but I can't reduce it even though I buy smart price brand in a lot of things and try to buy cheaper cuts of meat. We do eat meat for most dinners as DH is a confirmed carnivore!!
