how worried do u think i should be about me and baby not getting any antibiotics after birth for group b strep xx

I had GBS and I didn't get any antibiotics afterwards. I did get a bag of them every 4 hours while I was in labor though...

i had a drip put in my hand while i was in labour for this and had to stay in over night so they could check his temperature every 4 hours x

well i end up having a c section and had to stay in for 4 days anyway would u say the risk was reduced x we only found out i had when it appeared in the urine in my catheta x

I was positive for GBS and I didn't have enough time to get the full dose of antibiotics because my labor went too fast. They tested Jaedan and he was negative so they didn't give me or Jaedan anything other than what I had in labor. I think you should be fine though.. I'm sure if there was a concern about it, the Dr. would have let you know and given you something, especially if you were in the hospital for 4 days.. I think if you are concerned, you should let the Dr. know when you go for the next appointment for the baby/yourself to get some reassurance.

They never told me I had this until after Id given the birth so me nor Hallie got antibiotics during labour. I put a complaint in. There excuses being I had a quick labour so no time too read notes

I was there a good 2-3 hours!!
