Hey ladies- may be MIA for a bit, but wanted to announce the birth of our little boy Solomon... had severe and fast onset preeclampsia- had an emergency csection last night at around 9pm. He is 2lb 3oz- and doing well, breathing on his own- with a little assist from a CPAP machine. It was a crazy whirlwind yesterday- but apparently little man wanted to come into the world with flare on the "mayan end of the world" day lol.

Had to share- he found his thumb during "kangaroo-time"... he was quite happy to stay snuggly with mom Sure does make it hard to leave him in the NICU though!

Looks like they are putting in a PICC line tonight, so hopefully will be able to hold today after that's placed.

BTW finding his thumb is pretty advanced...ours just learned that, haha. Very impressive!

Its a main line into a main artery, cuts down on the all the tubing, and *should* be the one and only IV line they will have to place- it will stay the whole time he's in the NICU For the life of me I can't remember what the official meaning of the acronym PICC is lol sorry.

He just chomped an sucked away on his little thumb- was so darn cute. He's got wavy hair too Think I'm kinda head over heels in love with this little boy!
