GTA Potluck/Halloween meetup--October 17

we'll go with the majority vote :D which right now is the 24 but I'm waiting on the other two to vote  If they ever do. I'm good with either date, don't really have a preference one way or another

Is anyone else coming solo?
If it's not the 24th, Andrew isn't coming.
I hate going places solo when everyone else has their partner there.
Am I gonna be the only one?

If I could ditch him and steal the car and come down I would for sure!

Although I can't drive standard, so I think he might have a bit of a fit! :shhh:

Well I can try to kick Stan out of the house

have you asked Tasha or Kat?

Although I'm confused. My poll option says the 17th is the majority? Although it's hardly a majority given that it's one person extra... Unless you are counting Nat's double vote for Kat... :shhh:

the question was for them mostly. I knew Stan and Phil would be there! LOL.
Now to decide what to bring... hm....

Whats everyone good at making?

ahh Tiff so it is  don't know what I was thinking, probably about Nat's trying to double vote

since Kat and Tasha refuse to vote we'll go with the 17th

hmm not sure what to make. Stan talked about doing some meat on the bbq but that will be very weather dependent

and I'm not sure what I'm good at making  I'm not a bad cook but I'm not the greatest either

Stan and I will be more than happy to provide a meat of some sort for everyone, if you all want to concentrate on side dishes/desserts?

oh and what time do we all want to make it for?

Doesn't matter to me.
I duno what to bring.
Maybe I'll buy something...

*bump*

We never really decided on a time. Since most of you have to drive in what time would work best for you all? We're pretty open here  though the time chosen will dictate whether Stan and I clean on Friday or Saturday morning

We definitely do better with an earlier time, like lunch and mid afternoon? Otherwise Claire goes into meltdown mode.

So that's my vote! Again, this will all depend whether P has a job or not, or if he's working that weekend. :(

When will P know?
I'm ok for anytime. You know me, I tend to leave around 2-2:30 though.. mind you, on a Saturday it wouldn't be as much of an issue...

That's not Thanksgiving weekend right?

Not sure. :( I hate all this up in the air stuff!!!!

I think Thanksgiving is on the 12th?

And earlier works better for us to, Hannah gets cranky as the day wears on. Maybe a 1 o'clock lunch than everyone has time to get here?

:hugs: Hope P hears soon about the job

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA for a while, just have a few things going on that I'm dealing with. 1pm would be perfect for us, I'll leave at 11.30ish and that way Phoenix can have his nap in the car and be all happy (hopefully) for the party! I will have to leave around 3pm since I have such a far drive and a dog in a cage.

Have we decided who's bring what so there's no doubles?

I should have mentioned this before everyone is welcome to show up when they want (well okay show up at 8 a.m. and I'll probably kick you out ) but I completely understand driving around LO's naptimes  We do the same with Hannah

Stan and I were going to smoke a couple of whole chickens on the grill if that's okay with you all meat wise?

other than that nothing's been decided? What would everyone else prefer to bring? Stan and I don't mind making another dish or two (dessert or side dish).....

Uhhm... I'm buying something, cause I can't cook..

I can grab a fruit and veggie tray??
Or, I could grab some appetizer type things at M&M's, if you don't mind cooking them at your place Vickie? It's easier than trying to transport warm! lol. Plus then I can grab them on my way out as we have an M&M's right here, and I don't have to worry about Andrew eating them! hAHAH!

you can do either Nat. I certainly don't mind you using my stove/oven  but a fruit try/veggie tray would work as well.

oh and we don't have a microwave  just in case--but we do have a bottle warmer for bottles and we reheat most things on the stove top or in the oven

Ok. Well we'll see what others are planning, and I'll decide from there! :)
