GTA Potluck/Halloween meetup--October 17

Okay, well P didn't get the position. He did get an extention to his contract, but he's back to 12 hour shifts come Monday. I did the schedule up until the end of October, and it looks like we aren't going to be able to make it.

The 24th he's working nights, so he'll need to sleep, and the 17th he's working nights as well so we definitely can't be driving anywhere.

I hope this is enough notice in case you guys did want to change it to the 17th so Andrew can come with Natalie. Take lots of pictures for me!

We've made plans for the 24th with Natalie and Andrew......so not sure if she'd rather stick with those or change the party?

I'm ok with changing the party so that everyone can make it. Tiff I want to meet you!!!! So we could do an after Halloween thing? Early novemeber maybe?

Kat I think we are going to do another meet up in December when AnnaBanana comes over from the UK

Okay, P got his schedule and he isn't working the 17th. We have Claire's christening on the 18th so I don't know how up he is for going down to Toronto and then having a big "to do" the next day. I can ask when he gets home though.

Are people okay with doing it on the 17th? I feel really bad, I don't want to change everything on account of moi. So if it doesn't work out I totally, 100% understand.

I'm okay with the 17th and I can switch my plans for the 24th to the 17th (taking Hannah pumpkin picking) if it's okay with Natalie. Can you make the 24th Tiff? For some reason when I read it earlier I thought you couldn't make it than either....

I know, too confusing!

I can't make the 24th, he's doing an overnight. For whatever reason, they're having him do an 8-4 shift periodically (I didn't factor those in when I was doing up his schedule) and he's off the weekend of the 17th. So initally he was going to be working both weekends, now he's only working the one.

Sorry to be all confusing!

So long story short: I can potentially do the 17th, if he's willing to drive. Can't do the 24th.

Let me know how everyone feels, again I don't want to rearrange everything again if it is going to cause problems.

hmm why don't we wait and see what Phil says?

We have plans (and I'm sure everyone probably does ) the 10th (weekend before Thanksgiving) and Halloween too......

so unless we did it like next weekend we'd probably have to do it in Nov. if we rescheduled?

Okay, I am officially on crack. For some reason I thought I said that I could do the 24th. I blame lack of sleep on my inept-ness!

P is willing to drive down, so it looks like we are good to go! Sorry for all the confusion!

Just goes to show that P needs to give me some time off!!!!

I would have been freaking TICKED if I missed it because I can't remember what I originally committed to!

While I was typing I looked up at the poll results and was like why is the 17th in italics? Then I remembered it's because I wanted the 17th to begin with! Yikes. I'm almost afraid to wonder where my mind wanders off to at times!

So now onto the food! Vickie you are making chicken? Nat veggie tray? (not sure if that's what you suggested) I think I'll bring salad (caesar? greek?) and garlic bread.

yep Stan and I plan to make a cake as well

a salad and garlic bread sounds very good. We have a few different types of dressing (Italian, Ranch, and some Mandarin one I think?).

I am at such a loss with what to bring! Anyone have any suggestions?
