Hi all!

I'll be TTC in about 2 months, and I found out today my OBGYN is retiring!

Should I try to replace them before TTC, or just wait until we're pregnant?

An extra bump is that we plan on moving in the next 6-12 months...so I'm not sure what to do there either. We are only moving an hour or two away, but OH doesn't want to drive that far away for doctor appointments, so he doesn't want me to find one in that area.

I'm at a total loss of what to do here :(.

If you're planning on ttc in a couple months and planning on moving in 6-12 months then I would wait until you're pregnant to get a new doctor. If you get one now and you like them, you would have to drive the 1-2 hours after you move to go to your appointments, which you said you didn't want to do. I would still check local doctors in that area once you know exactly when you're moving and schedule an appointment ahead of time because it often takes a month or so to get you in. You also might have to sacrifice not going to the doctor your first trimester if you are able to get pregnant right away. I didn't go to my first doctor's appointment with my DD until I was 11 weeks because of the same situation. Good luck!
