Have you done private scans, first weeks? esp transvaginal

I've done my first scan, abdominal ultraound at 4 weeks, 4 days, they couldn't see much, just some fluid, a tiny sac
they couldn't even tell if there could be an sctopic pregnancy, too soon
my next scan will be after 2 weeks aprox.
I was thinking to ask for a private transvaginal scan, I don't know the price yet and location
What about you?

sorry hun i dont know, we dont do private scans here in nz.. you wont see much on a scan this early i would not waste your money until about 7 weeks when you could see heart beat

You may as well wait for your appointment scan, doubt you would see much so would be a waste of money, Plus most private places won't scan you before 6 wks anyway, due to the chance of not seeing anything

I had a scan at the hospital when I found out I was pregnant,
I didnt see anything.
but they said that since Im only a few days late that it was normal.

I cant wait until the day I actually get to see something.

Usually six to eight weeks is when they can really see proper implantation but at about eight weeks they can see the heart beating. I'm waiting and will have my first at about nine weeks. They wanted me in the week before at eight but I will be out of town.

I would wait unless you are having unusual symptoms.

but the thing is transvaginal you can see the pregnancy with a week earlier than seen on abdominal scan; it is used especially the first 7 weeks
but I was examined with abdominal

I had mine done both abdominally and and transvaginal and they couldnt see anything on either one.

They told me that they dont expect to see anything but they still check for cysts or any other things that can go wrong. Especially if you're having any pain.

Also they wont be able to see anything until your hcg level is in the thousands.

I had the previous scan day about 1739 HCG, which I tought is high enough to see something, but it didn't...

I had both abdominal and transvaginal scans yesterday and as I was only 4 weeks they saw nothing, which is normal but worrying! I would wait if you can stand it!

I just rang up a few places today in Northern Ireland and not one place/centre will do a private pregnancy scan for me. One of them was really ignorant and rude to me and the number they gave me doesn't even do them either. So no I am definitly going to have to wait till im 14 weeks. What is it with this country and their healthcare?

but I was only about a day or two late when I found out.
