Have you ever looked at the lines on a DIGITAL ovulation test?

i.e. when you 'eject' the used strip? I know you're not supposed to, but...

This month I bought a digital OPK as I didn't get a positive reading with my ICs last month. My plan is to use the digitals once I think the ICs start looking like they might be doing something. But I decided to do one today just for fun.

Both tests were negative (test line much paler than comparator line and O on the digital display). When I ejected the digital strip, I noticed that the two lines seemed to match almost exactly the two lines on the OPK.

So, now I'm thinking that the digitals run the test the exact same way as a non-digital but then have a way to compare the two lines? This makes sense to me.

Does anyone know if I'm right? It's just the way the bumpf says "DO NOT refer to the lines!"

Any thoughts? :amartass:

I wish i could be of more help with your questions... But i do have a picture of my positive digital Clear Blue easy OPK..

here is a link to my thread in the OPK gallery:thumbup:

I hope this is helpful...

I bought a pack of 50 internet cheapy OPK's to and on those the test line has to be as dark as the control line in order for it to be positive and to indicate you are OV'ing which is different than the digitals..since they dont want you looking at the lines.....

i use clearblue digis and always have a sneeky peak at the lines!
I think they just work in the same way cos i can see the lines getting darker then i get my smiley. Like you say they must just have a way of comparing the darkness of the line so we dont have to guess
xx
