hcg 25 10dpo 583 16dpo tiwns??!! Normal UPDATE PAGE 3

Ok so my hcg was 25 at 10dpo when I got a + test. I went back yesterday at 16dpo and got results today, 583!! Holy mosses that is high, we were hoping for 100 or a little higher. Any thoughts on why so high other than twins?

You really aren't too far off from mine. Plus do you know exactly when you ovulated (charting and OPKs?) You could be slightly further ahead as well. I wouldn't worry or concern yourself until you get your first scan. Good luck.

Butterfly- congrats to you! Your numbers look awesome. I am for sure on the day I O'd. Long story but I have to go to dr to make sure my cervix is open on O day and he confirmed so today I am 4w3d so the test yesterday was 4w2d. I mean the most we would be off on O is one day so that isn't going to make that big of a difference on my numbers, by one day. Plus I was 25 at 10dpo and that is pretty accurate. HH9 for you! With my daughter, at 4w6d mine was 18,762 which is a bit high. Funnily, I never thought twins, I was worried it could be a molar pregnancy. I guess that's what having 3 previous miscarriages does to you. But anyway, I really think it varies so much it's hard to guess twins based on hcg. Sooooo, it could be twins or it could be a single and will be interesting to see what your first scan shows! Good luck!

Scout, wow that is high. I am afraid of molar too, just trying not to worry about it since I have to wait until Thursday to draw and Friday for the results. Time will tell, first apt is 12/4, ugh seems so long away. LOL and thanks

I never heard this until lately, but I guess really high early hcg can indicate a girl!??! It was true for me both times, my first two pregnancies, mine was SUPER high, more than yours but I can't remember exact number, both times did an early ultrasound bc they wanted to know if it was twins so I could start to see specialist. Both times one baby ( and both times girls, so that's kinda interesting!) I know people who had twins who had numbers Lower than mine, so I agree with the poster who said it really varies so much you can't judge twins by just hcg alone. It may be twins, maybe just one, only an ultrasound will tell

Jules-I am thinking that too. I have another girlfriend that her numbers were high like this too and sure enough....girl! I really want a girl, of course I will be happy with either or both lol but I'd love a little girl. If I am going to be honest I just have this feeling that it is a girl, don't know why. Oh and just for fun the Chinese calendar says girl too! fx I will update as I go along. And congrats to you.

With DD2 at 4w5d my hcg level was 29 000, so I was also thinking twins or molar pregnancy, but nope, ONE very healthy little girl And yes, studies showed that carrying a girl generally resulted in higher hcg levels

Ha reading the other posts, they had girls too. Isn't that interesting?? I was team yellow with my girls, and didn't hear this until recently ( after my second was born)
Thankfully I didn't get my hcg levels checked in the beginning of this pregnancy, so I have no idea how high they were, which is good bc I'm team yellow again and don't want anything to give it away! ( this is our last baby and I don't want anything to ruin the excitement at birth as this is it!)

Anyhow, Im kinda intrigued now. I know you prolly won't find out gender for a long time ( if you are even going to find out!)

Great beta! I'm currently pregnant with twins and my numbers were a good bit higher (15dpo: 742 17dpo: 1633) but, like others have said, there's a wide range for singletons and twins. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Hi, I'm new to this. I had my last son at 29 yrs old and now am 41. I just found out I was pregnant a week ago, went to the doctors and they said my hcg level was a little above 45,000 and was about 5-6 weeks along. Now 12 yrs ago I don't recall even discussing an hcg level. Can someone tell me if this is normal? Especially at my age? Ultrasound scheduled on Friday. Thanks for any advice.

My beta at 16dpo with dd was 614, and this time it was 500+, maybe another girl is on the cards for us!! Don't know as we're team yellow but it's definitely normal to have high betas and one bub xx

mine are low as then, my 14 dpo was 153 and 16 dpo 381 had 20 dpo beta today but wont no results till tomorrow

Traylee-the only thing that matters is that you are doubling every 48-72 hours and you are so that is good.

AFM-I tested with the digi hoping to get 3+ today but read that it has to be 2600 to get 3+ and at max I would be 2332 so will test again tomorrow but did do an FRER and am loving the results, I must say. Oh and I had the dream.....the one that we went to the ultrasound and they told us we are having a boy AND a girl and dh said what does that mean and I said that we are having TWINS then my alarm went off, waking me up. UGH I am nervous lol
