HCG levels at 15 DPO

Hi guys,

I dont really know how many weeks I am because I have irregular periods but I am thinking I am probably about 4 w 2 days basing it off my O date.

I had my HCG blood test yesterday and the results came back as 660. My doc rang me and said they were a little on the low side? Everything I have read says this is absolutely normal if anything a bit high for 4 weeks pregnant..

I thought maybe my doc said something about 5 weeks pregnant because AF came on the 15th of April which from then til now would be 5 weeks but I didnt O until the 7th of May..

Do you think maybe he thinks I am 5 weeks pregnant and thats why it seems a little low or is 660 low for 4 weeks?

I think 660 sounds fine!
It is also not possible for them to say what is 'low' based on one reading. You really need to readings so you can make sure it is doubling every 48 hours. 660 is definitely in a normal range, especially when there is no way of being 100% certain when conception actually occurred. See if you Dr will send you for a second test to make sure it is increasing and all should be fine

If you were only 4 weeks 1 day when you had your blood drawn, then a hCG level of 660 is great! My level at 4 weeks (14 DPO) was 253 mIU. And I'm currently cooking a very healthy baby boy. I don't know what your doctor is talking about. It just seems he is trying to scare you, which is wrong.

Maybe he does think you are 5 weeks pregnant. Coming from 4 to 5 weeks is a huge difference, especially when it comes to hCG levels. You know your body more than he does, so go by your ovulation date. That is what I did, since I ovulated early. Best of luck and H&H 9 months!

If you go to betabase.info they have all averages/highs etc on their for DPO. They are above average so yours are absolutely fine I think! X

I think your doc thinks you are 5 weeks in which case they are definitely on the low side. I think you should call and ask him, that would put your mind at rest! They are brill for 4 weeks! X

Thankyou all so so much!! It is so reassuring when somebody says everything is fine!!

So I rang my doc, I just couldnt handle it any longer and he said he didnt actually say they were low .... and that he just wants to repeat the test because I am so early on in the pregnancy so ensure they are doubling at the correct rate..

HMM I am 100% sure he said it was low yesterday but obviously he is just being extra cautious and resending me for another HCG test!!

Oh that's good nic, hang in there. If you were 4.2 when the blood was taken you definitely have a sticky baby in there!! I got a 2-3 on a clear blue digi when I was 4 weeks 1 day so that means my levels were at least 200. So I reckon by 4.2 my levels were probably 300 at least so you see yours are double mine! Don't worry x

That's good to hear! Although I think he's just covering his own ass by saying that he did NOT tell you they were low. Whatever.

I wouldn't say so....had my first HCG at 13 DPO(day before I hit 4 weeks) and it was 82...at 19DPO it was 1702. I used the beta doubling calculator i think it said i was doubling like every 38 hours or something. My Dr said both levels were fine

i had a hcg draw today...........my level is 200 and i am 12dpo.......doctor doesn't seem worried......but i am......but after i read this thread im feeling a bit better!

They say hcg should be at about 50 to 100 by the time your period should arrive/14dpo. Everyone's sound fantastic!

Go to betabase.info it's really informative! When I had mc last time my hcg at 15dpo was 63! And even that wasn't a cause for worry as long as it doubles all that matters
