    i wonder if this is different from the maternity grant, where you can claim upto 500, that is based on your income etc though so iam thinking it is! but great to know this xxx

    hey my hubby found out all about this for me and if you go on the website you can follow a link and register to get sent a txt reminder in your 25th week of pregnancy which is brill as i would probably forget.

    also the good thing is that this grant isnt means tested and they do not take your income into account everyone gets it.

    :winkwink:Yep my midwife told me this on sat!

    She said we are the lucky ones as she thinks it will only last for the year then the government will realise that they can't afford it!

    every little helps!!
